INTRODUCTION
Smartphones are the class of phone which consists of highly advanced features. They
consists of high hardware capabilities and operating systems that serve various facilities such as
internet, multimedia and other software functions such as messaging and voice call. They are
highly popular in the market that is because of features such as wider usability (Abramovici,
2014). This project is done with reference of Eco-Fone an UK based company which deals in
smartphones and accessories. The organisation is carrying out their activities from two shops
situated in Putney and Richmond. In the present market company is not dealing with Laptops and
tablets but tent to produce the same in the market in the near future. This report will analyse the
mobile phone market existing in the UK in relation with product, customer information and
finance. In the later part of the report recommendations have been made for expansions. Along
with it use of phone by old age people for entertainment is also enlighten.

Brief overview of mobile phone market in UK
In according to the survey which is being conducted by Deloitte about the mobile usage
in UK market, It has been observed that the usage of the smartphones are growing on a daily
basis. Because of which sales of smartphones have faced an increase of 1.5 billion annually. The
present market depicts that more then 60% of adult population in the UK are using smartphone
and this tents to increase to a percentage of 90% by 2020 (Frith, 2018). This is because
smartphones are assisting people in performance of day to day activities. In the current economy
32 million people are working in UK and around half of them are using smartphone in their daily
work activities. As per the report which was carried in 2017, the mos common smart phone
features used by worker is E-mail (44%) voice call(34%) and calendar management (23%) and
there are various unofficial application as well which is being used by them such as mobile
browser, photo applications and navigation.

45years. It can be abstracted from the report that the seventeen percent population between the
age group of 16-24 look at their smartphones at least 100 times on a daily basis and twelve
percent of individual comprising of age group of 16-19 claims that they look at their smartphone
more then 200 time on a daily basis. Where as it showed that thirty four percent of people
comprising of age group of 16-75 years use their phone while eating (Donker and et. al., 2013).
There is considerable;e rise in the number of old age people using smartphones. It has reached to
71% as compared to 29% in the year 2012. In the present time 91% of people of the ge group of
18-75 are using their smartphone on a daily basis and 3% of them have claimed of using
smartphone 3 months ago. 1% of the population claimed that they use their smartphone once in a
week while the reamining 1% claimed that they have used their smartphone last month only.

they have used a product in an efficient way, it came out that they have used it for time period of
1 to 3 years which is a affirmative outcome for company as the customers will be satisfied with
the services provided by the company and the quality of the product is good as it provides long
durability. In third question, various characteristic was asked like customer service, quality of the
product, price, staff value etc. respondent were required to choose if the services provided are
excellent, good, fair or poor.
At the time of asking the overall experience in relation with the company, the customers
response was very satisfactory and it results in carrying good brand image in the market. To
continue doing business with the Eco-Fone, the customers response was very likely about this
thing. They will continue to buy the products of the company (Twenge, 2017). To attract
customers in effective manner company can introduce exciting offers and gift hampers. The last
question was that if the existing customers will like to suggest company's products to their
friends and families and the response of the customers was positive. It will lead in expanding the
customers base for the company in effective manner.
