also the transacting of funds and data using networks. Such transactions can occur in many forms
that are business to business, business to consumer, consumer to business, consumer to consumer
and many more (Chaffey, Edmundson-Bird and Hemphill, 2019). It provides ability to wider
reach to the customers with the help of digital marketing. It is one of the fastest growing retail
market now a days because people prefer more of online services with comfort due to the Covid-
19 pandemic. This is the reason, E-commerce is most demanded by the customers as well as the
businesses also in today's era as it is not only helping the businesses to earn but also customers
to provide them the satisfaction and comfort level in shopping every type of product relating
clothing, home accessories, electronic, food, groceries and many with different types of payment
methods available such as cash, online payment application, bank transfer and many more.
Therefore, the following discussion is based on the literature review which includes the
concept of E-commerce with its business operations in Amazon, importance of E-commerce with

solutions in Amazon. Research proposal presentation which includes explanation of subject area,

Amazon is one of the leading internal E-commerce company headquartered in United
States and established in 1994. It is a technology company which provides services such as e-
commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming and artificial intelligence. Concept of e-
commerce with its operations in Amazon are such that designing of goods and services and
quality management along with the process and capacity design and location strategy which is
followed by the layout design and strategy and job design and human resources. Supply chain
management and inventory management along with the scheduling and maintenance are some of
the operations performed by the company using e-commerce concepts as it provides the platform
for the same (Bhatti, Akram, Basit and Naqvi, 2020).
Managers who manage the operational concept of the company related with the e-
commerce have major roles and responsibilities in shopping experience of the customers. They
owned the process in order to motivate the employees and perform continues improvement in
their processes and strategies for succession. Moreover, there is a difference of operations and
management between traditional and online business such as operations and management are
highly physical in traditional business in terms of each and every resource used by the
organization whereas operations and management are highly online in e-commerce business in
terms of resources they are owning such as technology maintenance and safety and security
issues are the major concerns with big data and other technical devices as well. Talking about
Amazon, they have merged the operations and management of e-commerce and traditional
business by collaborating their business with traditional one also such as Amazon also holds the
production department as they produce some goods and services by themselves only and some

they sell of another brand via website so that is why the company follows both the methods of
operations and management of traditional business and online business as well (Fatonah,
Yulandari and Wibowo, 2018).

performance which means that e-commerce provides the wider reach towards the customers that
is there is no restrictions to reach out and sell the products. This broadens up the target market of
the company hence, resulting in enhanced productivity. Lower operational cost is an another

business over the internet cost low as compared to the handling of business on a traditional
business. Therefore, cost saving results in better investment in other areas. Competitive

performance which means that advertising and promotional activities of marketing are
innovative and creative over the internet which provides the company to fight against the
competition in the industry (Moriset, 2018).

and expense of redevelopment and maintenance of the website. Late delivery can spoil the
customer relationships and loyalty as well. Lack of privacy in regards of big private and
confidential data can spoil the image of the company in the market place due to data breaching.
Tax and legal issues are the major concern as well. There is a high technical cost at the time of
installation and maintenance also. Lack of personal touch with the customers can reduce the

I have learn so many things while preparing the research report such as writing skills and
communication skills along with the research skills and cognitive skills which is followed by the
problem solving skills and presentation skills. Moreover, fostering critical thinking and
analytical skills and defining academic, career and personal interest. Expanding knowledge and
understanding on the topic on a practical basis. Furthermore, developing connections with the
faculty as well and building community with peers and organizations outside the campus. It
helped in enhancing my knowledge and clarification of any confusion related to the topic along
with the learning about the methods and issues which is followed by the understanding of the
published work and creating the balance between collaborative and individual work.

applied in a real world organizations with practical implementation of it. Hence, it is important to
analyse the research aims, objectives, questions and background. It is essential to examine the
