In the modern era of digitalization, everything is changing by adapting the new form
of existence. People now a days are getting whatever that want with a touch of their fingers.
With all the technological advancement, people are using the internet more in getting all the
supplies which are essential for them. Thus, most of the form of business nowadays exist
online. The world-wide-web is the power house of the existence of different kind of business
to exist online. Due to the fact that people are spending hours in the internet, businesses are
channeling their operations online. It is saving the potential customers cost of traveling to the
market. E-commerce is also saving time of their customers and well. The customers will not
have not have to spend a lot of their time finding goods at the market. With the help of e-
commerce, customers will get the privilege of finding all their desired products at one place
without even moving.
These organizations which exist online uses a software system which help them
operating. It is known as service-oriented architecture, or in short SOA. The software is
considered to be a style of software design, at where particular services are provided with the
application of other components, which is provided through communication protocols over
the oriented network. Principles like independent of vendors, products and technologies are
some of basic parts of service oriented architecture. The application provides definition to
services which has four properties based on the working principle of software oriented
application. The four properties are –
The logical representation of the business activity which are specified accordingly to
the outcomes.
The application is self-contained
The software works as a black box to their customers

A typical example of a business would be Amazon. The application exist completely
in the virtual world, providing their service to their customers via the internet. Amazon could
be compared with e retailed shop, where any customer could get anything they want, by
finding the product at their online catalog. Therefore, the customer could purchase the
product from the application online, by paying through internet banking. Thus, Amazon
would deliver the product to their customer via their delivery system. Henceforth, with the
application of service-oriented architecture, Amazon have designed their E-business and have
been providing service with the help of internet.
