COMP1479: E-commerce Site Development for Greenwich Butchers, UoG

This report details the development of an e-commerce website for Greenwich Butchers, aiming to modernize their business model and expand their customer reach. Development of E-commerce

Introduction
 Contrary to the Traditional model Greenwich Butchers can
attract huge number of customers through the E-commerce portal.
 With the implemented E-commerce site the organization will be
able to streamline the sale and supply of the products with ease.
 With the improved reach to the customer it can also enhance its
revenue from the business while reducing the inventory cost for
storing products.

Functional Requirements
 The Site must provide a guest check out options contrary to all
the traditional e-commerce sites that asks for registration and
login.
 The site should be responsive so that users can access the site
from any device.
 All the pages must have intuitive navigation so that it can
provide rich user experience.
 The Pages should include high quality images of the products
and if possible videos.

Non Functional Requirements
 The developed Site must be Secure and ensure
availability of the site is important.
 Security on the website is also important. Such as
transactions must be carried out under SSL in order to
secure information.
 Scalability and performance is another requirement
so that system can scale in order to meet estimated
future traffic as well as order volume in normal and
peak times.

Non-Functional Requirement
 user journeys – It is important to reduce the steps in completing
usual tasks so that it does not irritate the customers.
 Speed of services is another important requirement in order
define the time in which services will provide response.
 The site should be easily accessibility so that it can be ensured
that developed E-commerce platform matches the basic
accessibility standards.

Analysis and design
 The website will contain three modules for business
owners, customers and suppliers.
 The Administrator will be able to add, delete, update the
suppliers, customers and orders from the system.
 The customers will be able to find out the different
products from the Greenwich butchers.
 Administrator will additionally manage the suppliers in
order to easily track the stock replenish from different
suppliers.
