INTRODUCTION
A music festival can be described as a series of performances that is placed in a specific place
that is inspired by unifying themes like national music, the promotion of the work of composers
and modern music. It is an event that takes the form of a competitor for different composers and
performers (Roskosky and et. al., 2022). It is one of the community events which is based on
singing and instrument performances played by different people. It is based on different themes
like nationality, musical genre, holidays and also the locality of different musicians. It is a music
event that is organised by organisations and individual within different music network that
includes music scenes, and music education institution.
There are different stakeholders to be included in music festivals like event organisers, investors,
audience, competitors, performers and other people. These stakeholders are directly and
indirectly linked with the music event. These stakeholders can influence the music festivals and
also get impacted by the music event. The event organiser is the one who organises different
activities of the event (Zigomo, 2022). The event organiser is one of the individuals who is
responsible for purpose of the organisation of the event in an effective manner. The audience is
the one who attends the event and also plays an important role in maintaining discipline which
assists the event organiser to complete the event in an effective manner.
This project report includes analysation of the impact of the music festival on different
perspectives. It includes economic impact as organisation of the event creates an impact on the
economy by developing job opportunities, increasing the number of tourists and also providing
more taxes to the government. It is also aiming to analyse the environmental impact as it causes
pollution over the environment. It is also analysing social impact as it creates cultural impact on
the country. Moreover, this report also includes recommendations for people to maximise the
benefit of the event and reduce its negative impact.

Economic impact:
Holding a new music event also creates an economic impact on the country in which it is
organised. Music events attract a number of people to a place and provide an opportunity for
people to earn money (Irangani, 2021). It is also including additional expenses generated in

specific areas that create an impact on the events. It is a perspective that considers financial
benefits that occur in a country due to holding a new music event. Explanations of different types
of economic benefits in a country are mentioned below:
Local economic impacts: Holding a new music event is important for an economy as
organisation of an event requires efforts of the number of people required. For this, the event
organiser company will hire a number of local people in their organisation which helps them to
generate employment opportunities in a country. It will allow people to get the opportunity to
earn money in order to satisfy their needs and wants (Apel, Hertrampf and Späthe, 2018). This
music event gathers a number of people in one place which also allows local people to sell their
products to these people. It will increase the income of these people and also helps them to spend
this income on things required by them. It is important in order to maintain equilibrium in an
economy. These music events not only help businesses to attract local tourists but also
international tourists. It provides an opportunity for local people who live near the music event
location. It is important in order to improve living standard of people which is positive sign for
the economic development of a country.
Impact on the hospitality and event industry: New music event also gives an impact on the
hospitality industry. It is one of the essential components of the hospitality industry as
organisation of new music events helps a country to attract a number of people to their industry.
It creates an opportunity for a country as it helps them to attract a number of tourists to a country
(Baratè, Haus, G. and Ludovico, 2019). On basis of it, there are different opportunities that occur
in a country for people to earn money. It also provides an opportunity for the country to earn
foreign exchange which is important for the economic development of the country.
Costs to the taxpayers: Holding the new music event is important for the economy of a country.
It is important for the country as it allows the opportunity for the government to earn money
from people in form of tax. There are different services and products to be purchased by these
tourists which helps the people to get the opportunity to sell their products and it also helps the
government to earn money in form of foreign exchange (Kumar and et. al., 2019). It is one of the
important components of the industry. There are different types of policies to be developed by
the government which helps the event organisation to organise new event in an effective manner
and allow them to attract numbers of people which process cost of taxpayers to the government

has the power to create influence over a number of people in a different manner. Events create an
enjoyable experience for a person and also create opportunities for them in order to develop

heritage and culture of the country in which the event is organised. These social impact of
holding a new music event in a county is mentioned below:
Impact on local resident: Organisation of music event in a specific location also create an
impact over the local resident of people. Music events create noise pollution which creates a
disturbance for local people. There are different ages people who live in a specific location
where the event is organised. It creates a negative impact on the health of the old age of people
(Glandfield, 2018). It also creates a problem for purpose of temporary overcrowding in a
country due to which it becomes difficult for a country to manage different transportation
facilities. It creates pressure on different types of transportation facilities. It also creates pressure
on the road which creates the problem of traffic in specific areas as many people are reaching at
the same location at the same time. It creates a problem for local people as it causes delays for
them to reach home.
Cultural impact: It is another social impact which causes due to holding of a new music event.
There is a different culture in different countries and also people believe in and respect their
culture. It is also important for people to also respect the culture of other people. Holding a new
music event attract tourist from different country which allows people to sell and learn things
from other culture (Kusumawati, Pangestuti and Supriono, 2022). Music event reflects the
culture of a country which allow other people to accept cultural diversity. It is important in order
to promote cultural richness among people which makes them open-minded and also to accept
the culture of other people. It also allows people to link with each other through cultural potential
which helps to build cultural building potential.
Issues related to crime: Holding a music event also create issues related to crime as due to this,
the focus of local authorities is on the organisation of the event. It creates opportunities for
criminals as they commit crimes during this period (Soroush and et. al., 2021). It disturbs laws
and orders and also results in the negative image of the country in minds of people of other
countries. Criminals are also included in a crowded place and also steal precious things from

people like their phones, money, plastic money and other things. It causes loss for people and
also creates a bad impression on the people.
Environmental impact:
As the music festivals and concerts is being a major issue in today’s world and this can impact
the environment harshly as this leaves huge carbon footprints in society due to the different
performances (Kanahele-Mossman and Karides, 2021). As this impacts the environment in the
following ways.
Transportation: As this is also considered as the major issue which can impact the environment
as this is the largest source of carbon footprints as this is from the released fumes of society
vehicles as festivals usually takes place in the remote are\as and this can impact in the
environment.
Fuel: As in UK festival there are more than 85% people who uses their own vehicle and
transportation as this leads to high rate of pollution due to festivals and leads an huge damage in
environment.
Waste: This is also an major issue which is important to be considered and this is also generated
due to the comprised waste which is produce in the large amount of using plastic as this involves
food trays, bottles and straws and in this festival micro plastic pollution is also developed due to
toiletries (Schünemann, Schiela and Ortlepp, 2021).
Issues:
Impact on carbon footprint: As festivals has always created an issue on the environment as this
can impact negatively and can also impact the daily life’s and schedule of society as this can also
possible changes the behaviours and this can also decreases the sustainability and can impact in
the emission activities in business and this also creates an major issues and can impact in
reducing the standard of living on the environmental basis. As this is also causing he main
impact on climate and this can consume the large energy production and this also waste the huge
watt off energy in developing and organising the festivals and can impact an damaging effect on
the environment.
The environmental impact of hosting the festival: There is an negative impact of the festivals
in the environment as this creates huge pollution and this can also impact in the energy
consumption of the society and increases the crowd in one place which can become difficult to
assemble and secure carbon footprint in huge level and can save the environment effectively.

This increases the crowd which can lead to put a huge weight on the land and this can also
impact in the environmental changes in the country. As wastages is also an huge challenging
issue in the gatherings as this can+ increase the wastage of various eatable and useable products
by huge number of people attending the festival as this also makes a change and can damage the
environment and the natural resources of the country.
The environmental impact of any construction work that needs to be done: There are
various construction issues that can damage the environment and this can also impact in society
negatively as this has the involvement of air pollution, landfill waste and water pollution as this
can impact the natural resources of the country per year and this can be reduced by applying
various technologies which are available modernly and this can change the material usage and
can save the natural resources and this can also make the country digitalized as this and
biodiversity is the major change which is required to be done to save the environment (Apel,
Hertrampf and Späthe, 2018).
Recommendation
From above mentioned discussion, it can be recommended to event managers to ensure the
proper safety of people who are attending of event. During the event organisation, the focus of
all people, local authorities and other are shifting over effective management of the event, and
management of local services like transport and traffic. Due to all these situations, crimes
increase at places of event. In order to avoid a such situation, it is essential for the event
organiser to ensure the proper safety of the people who are attending the event and the precious
thing carried by them. They also need to ensure there is a proper arrangement of cameras and
other things with an aim to avoid theft and other activities.
It is recommended to the event organiser that there should be an arrangement of an electric
vehicle for the guest to reach to the location of the event. It is important in order to avoid
pollution and also it avoids carbon footprints. During the time of organisation of the event, there
are the number of people came to the event. All these people are using their own vehicle which
increases traffic on the roads and also it create pressure on public transport. It also increases
pollution in that areas as there is the number of the vehicle are there on the road. In order to
avoid such situation, it is recommended to event organiser to arrange electronic vehicles for the
audience.

It is also recommended to event organiser that they should hire local people for purpose of carry
out an event. It is one of the important activity for a person as it allow them for purpose of
getting human resources at a cheaper rate and also it helps them to create opportunity for local
people by creating employment. It will also create a positive image of event organiser company
in that country and provide them different benefits from other government policies.
CONCLUSION
From above mentioned project report, it can be concluded that the organisation of music festivals
is one the of difficult tasks for the event organiser as they need to coordinate different activities.
It creates a different impact on the country in which the event is organised. It creates different
social, environmental and economic impacts. Organising an event creates different job
opportunities in a country which is important for the people of that country. It also provides an
opportunity to the government to charge taxes from tourists and also it attracts numbers of
tourists in that country that giving rise to the hospitality industry. It also creates social impact as
it allows people to know and understand different cultures. Organisation of event also creates
negative impact over the health of local people and also create problem in the management of
traffic and other local management. It also gives rise to criminal activities as during the event,
focus of local authorities is shifted towards the management of local services. It also creates an
environmental impact on the country as it increases its carbon footprint. It will boost
transportation activities in that country due to which pollution level also increases.
