EDUCATION IN AUSTRALIA
Question 1:
How do teaching-learning, the role of the lecturer and the role of the student in Australia
compare to your previous experiences as a student in your home country? (Answering in context
of a student from Australia)
The lecturers in the university follow a lot of rules by the aid of which the students are
taught in a proper way. The various teaching process which are used by the teacher aids the
students in imparting the knowledge in a better way. With the implementation of various
innovative teaching techniques like computer based teaching programs. With the implementation
of these techniques a better teaching experience is provided to the students by the tutors in
university level (Deloitte Access Economics, 2016). Traditional teaching methods like one-on-
one teaching methods have become obsolete and they have no value in implementing better
knowledge to the students.
Question 2:
For those students who have already commenced their training ask yourselves, what you
perceive as the role of the student in your degree and what do you expected from the lecturer?
Students in the university expect a lot from their lecturers as they impart their knowledge
with the aid of the teachers. The students in the present time belong from a lot of background and
they have different expectations from their teacher. The teachers in the modern time have to look
at a lot of issues before implementing knowledge to their students. In the context of modern
education it must be said that the expectations of the students are huge. The teachers have to
come up with different ideas by the aid of which they impart knowledge to the students in abetter
way.
