government of nation also spending on education system in order to increase the number of
skilled workers in an economic sector of Netherlands. This kind of investment may assist in
increasing the wealth of society by the increasing number of people who has higher income
level. By this, people not only enjoy with higher salary but also includes higher productivity of
labour. In addition to this, government spending in education also a refers to the way out to solve
the economic issues including unemployment, poverty, economic recession and many more. This
is the reason that government spending on educational activities that could increase the number
of skilled workers. One of the main benefit of this spending is that it is capable to develop or
create job opportunities and at the same time also meet all the requirements of skilled and semi-
skilled employees in the economic sector with the aim of improving the overall growth of the
nation. Current investigation is based on the role of government expenditure on education in
context to reducing unemployment rate and also improving GDP growth of Netherlands.
1.1 Problem description
As per current scenario, education is one of the major aspect that contributes a lot in people
life because it may assist in improving their living standard and at the same time also reducing
unemployment rate of specific country. In context of this, education system of Netherlands is
also appropriate as government is also spending on the same with the aim of improving
employment rate by creating job and employment to its local people. As the share of government
expenditure also devoted to education as it allows as effective assessment of the priority a
government allocate and expend to education relative to other public investment. In this regards
there are some statistical figure that shows the government expenditure on education in the
Netherlands by level of education.
