INTRODUCTION
Child care and education refers to a practice when tutors educate children along with taking care
of their other needs. It includes education institutes where staff members get training to analyse
different needs of kids including their intake of food, sleeping time, special toy, comfortable
bedding, listening special song or mum voice before sleeping and many more (Henry, Hill and
Leitch, 2017). However, it is observed that they provide safe and hygienic surroundings for
children to secure them from injuries. This report is based on Early Education which provides
education and care to children in their early childhood age. In context if this assignment, it will
focus on professionalism as well as dual professional and professional values responsible for
influencing practices. It will also include role of stakeholder and external bodies in order to
improve education & training in organisations. The educational policies for education and
accountability of stakeholder regarding these policies in terms of enhancing child care along with
conducting analysis quality assurance strategies for making kids more secure as well as educated
are given below.
TASK A
Define the concepts of professionalism and dual professionalism in education and training.
Professionalism can be defined as variety of personal qualities and behaviours which is
responsible for demonstrating commitment to effective performance in specific job like child
carer and teacher. It includes commitment & confidence, dependability & responsibility, ethics
& honesty, appearance and professional presence are central characteristics. However, it has
been analysed that several traits of professionalism that are required for a professional to provide
care and education for children. In addition to this, a person having knowledge and experience in
respect of providing teaching to kids as well deliver care for them. There are various kinds of
institutions where kids get education and daily care when their parents were not able to take care
of their children (Carpenter and Dickinson, 2016). Moreover, it is essential for an organisation to
provide proper training for child care and education to gain better outcomes in terms of their
development.
Dual professionalism can be explained as a person with expertise in skills & abilities for two
professionals’ such as child care cum teacher. It includes having deep knowledge, conceptual
understanding and expertise in teaching and learning process along with childcare capabilities.

Meanwhile, it is observed that an individual is required acquire effective skills for child care as
well as teaching abilities in order to facilitate proper child development respectively. It is
necessary for an organisation to provide efficient learning and training for staff so that they can
maintain safe environment for children and their delver appropriate education. It will provide
support to improve overall development of kids in accurate manner.
Explain ways in which professional values influence own practice area of specialism.
Professional values consists various aspects which are responsible for influencing the practices
while providing care and education to children. It includes number of values which encourage
care providers to focus on effective practices and activities that enhance the knowledge level of
students along with facilitating their development (Mulder, 2017). However, it has been analysed
that professional values make teachers remain aware and careful about rights and wring attempts
to fulfil their responsibilities in more effective as well as efficient manner. In addition to this, the
child care and education contains different professional values such as responsibilities, attitudes,
honesty, fairness, integrity, diligence, loyalty, cooperation, justice, faithfulness, respect for others
and self. It is necessary for teacher to fulfil their responsibilities by adopting innovative teaching
procedures which are interesting for kids with the help of conducing assessment of students and
their respective behaviours. It will facilitate to establish healthy bond with children which impact
positively on entire learning and development of them.
These values motivate tutor to focus on their responsibility and remain fair while dealing with
students. They should always rem ain fair while providing education and other learning to kids
by delivering services equally among the. Meanwhile, it is essential to maintain the effective
learning and safety of students at the time of educating them and make studies more interesting
so that they become encouraged to focus on their education. It is beneficial to utilise technology
and other interesting ways that influence their entire teaching process which facilitate effective
education and child care.

Educational policy can be described as a set of various rules, regulations and principles which
are required to be considered by teachers while providing care and education to students. It
includes number of characteristics of educational policy that should be focussed by employees
working in child care and education (Metzler, 2017). Initially, it consists reviewing of issues
caused due to intangibility of several education goals. Secondly, it includes the means ends

relationships and the inconsistency of educational goals. Thirdly, it contains priority of ordering
of goals and weighting or educational goals along with their estimates costs. However, the
educational policy consists designing of a smart policy which is justified and adapted to the
context of child care and safety while educating them. Meanwhile, it is necessary to involve all
the key stakeholders in the preparing process of educational policy as they have shares and
efforts in the entire institution of providing education. In addition to this, it is required for
making sure that the conductive context of child care and education should be valid and reliable
for the policy (Antohe and et. al., 2016). Some of aspects are given here.
Social: The social factors influence educational policy by eliminating social factors that racism
and discrimination should be strictly prohibited so that every child will gte proper care and
support.
Political: The political factors impact by providing legal support so that equality must be
maintained in institutions of child care and education within the country.
Economic: This includes making policies and structure strong by gaining funds in order to
provide effective care and education to very child of the nation along with providing other
relevant benefits.

There are various kinds of key aspects which are responsible for influencing the entire
organisation. It is necessary for management to established and implement effective rules &
regulations in order to manage all the educational activities properly. It is very important to make
strict regulations so that negative factors like discrimination, bullying and other problems can be
eliminated and a healthy education system can be organised to deliver appropriate learning for
students (Clary and et. al., 2016). However, some of factors that are key aspects of an
organisation are mentioned below.
Policies: This includes policies which encourage efforts of staff members working in education
institute to remain positive with others at work place and fulfil their responsibilities. It is helpful
to maintain organisational culture and reduce chance of occurring employee conflicts which is
helpful to deliver effective child care and education to students.
Codes of practice: The codes of practice are very important for encouraging employees towards
their duties and correct ways of fulfilling their responsibilities. It includes to make employees
remembers about factors that must be considered while providing appropriate care and learning

to students. However, it is required for tutors to follow ethics and remain impartial while
providing learning and care to children.
Guidelines: The guidelines impact positively on organisation as they provide correct direction to
staff members for putting their efforts respectively. It is favourable to deliver effective services
to students along with eliminating risk of adopting inappropriate procedures to deal with kids.

The stakeholders and external bodies play an effective role to provide guidelines or suggestions
in order to organisation appropriate training programs for teachers, it is necessary for child care
educational institutes to prepare more effective as well as efficient programs in order to boost up
skills as well as abilities of them. Basically, it will provide support to enhance the learning of
students which improve their future (Rampey and et. al., 2016). However, it is very important to
involve stakeholders and external bodies to interfere in training and learning programmes for
making them more effective which is beneficial for children to gain better support. Stakeholders
refer to individual who put efforts or funds in business organisation and have a right to gain
profits along with taking part in decision making.
Governing bodies: The governing bodies make guidelines and instructions which must be
followed by educational institutes while providing child care and education. They also have a
right to gain a part of profit and invest funds for welfare of children.
Head teachers or directors: The head teachers are employees and put efforts to improvement of
education system and gain salary for it. Directors have a role to invest funds, gain profits and
make high level decision for welfare of students.
Managers: This includes the managers who have a role to manage overall; work of activities
related education and care procedures of children. They focus on strategies to improve education
and provide effective suggestions to top level management (Rodwell and et. al., 2018).
Parents or sponsors: The parents are customers who pay fees for their education of their children
and they can share their needs and desires to school management regarding their ward’s
betterment.

External bodies contains various organisations that are responsible for providing guidelines and
funds in order to boost up organisational structure and betterment of educational facilities
provided to kids.
Department for education: This is an organisation which has a role to provide mandatory
guidelines like education is a right of every children and focus for programmes like free
education for each child till 8th standard (Peeters, Sharmahd and Budginaitė, 2016).
Ofsted: This stands for Office For Standards in Education which make rules an regulations
regarding education which must be followed by every educational institute within the country.
People can complain there for any kind of misconduct with their child regarding education and
they will conduct proper investigation to take strict action.
Awarding bodies (AQA Edexcel): This includes organisations which provide respect to better
educational institutes for their better work as compared to other organisations. They motivates
educational organisation to improve their services for betterment of future of child and country.
How being accountable to stakeholders and external bodies impacts on organisations in
education and training.
The stakeholders are accountable in regards to training and education programmes because wring
attempt for the same is wastage of financial and other resources. Resources are investment of
stakeholders and of they will not utilise properly and results into loss so that they will not get
anything as profit. However, the percentage of profit should be provided to stakeholders and
improper use of resources will not render better rate of return to them (Blossfeld and et. al.,
2017). In addition to this, it is necessary for stakeholders like managers, parents and governing
bodies who play an important role for improvement of leaning procedures. It will reflect about
betterment in education of children and better profits of an organisation.
External bodies can be defined as organisation who work at local and national level in order to
make sure that effective policies procedure are followed in educational institute or care. They are
responsible for providing guidelines for schools to provide proper education and care for
betterment of students. However, they have a role to establish potential guidelines and codes of
conduct in order to evaluate actual need of training along with organising criterion. They are
liable for setting time intervals for carrying out training and education of employees on regular
intervals which makes studies more effective as well as interesting for children.

Why it is important to work in partnership with employers and other stakeholders in education
and training.
Work in partnership can be defined as a setting in which people having expertise in relevant
fields perform together by cooperation to achieve specific goal. It includes the criterion of work
in team by making combination of efforts, skills and knowledge level in order to attain a critical
business objective. Basically, it has been analysed that partnership working is beneficial for
educational institutes to make appropriate decision of organising training programme for
enhancing abilities of childcare providers and teachers (Barnes and et. al., 2016). However,
employers and stakeholders should work in partnership to make an effective decision for caring
out training in order or deliver appropriate education facilities for children. In addition to this, it
is beneficial approach to gain number of alternative choices for training in which best one can be
selected for betterment of children future along with maintaining their safety. Moreover, it is
necessary to make an appropriate training session to make teachers aware about effective
practices for improving learning activities and safety procedures to have bright future of the
nation.

Current educational policies on curriculum and practice in own area of specialism.
The educational policies refer to set of regulations that are required to maintain healthy
atmosphere of education including different criterion of benefits. It includes that only learning is
not sufficient but some extra curriculum is also necessary to facilitate overall development of
students. However, it is very important to organise different picnics and trips of kids where they
can learn about other creatures of nature and different other aspects which improve their
knowledge level (Mazenod, 2016). The observation is much effective which is easy to learn for
kids then visiting zoo is helpful to make them learn about different wild animals exits on Earth.
Initially, the Health and safety at work policy requires maintaining secure environment for
teachers and students to maintain safety by ensuring availability of fire extinguisher, emergency
windows or doors, first aid facility and many more. Meanwhile, there are various such as policies
that should be considered by educational institutes such as Settling children into nursery policy,
School trips policy, Key person policy, Safeguarding and Child protection policy, Early year’s
foundation stage policy, Photographic and video images policy, Special educational needs and

disabilities policy, Admissions policy and Accidents and Emergencies Policy. Trips to natural
parks are effective to make kids learn about flowers, animals, soil, birds, leaves, Sun, sky and so
on.

Stakeholder plays an important role in order to provide suggestions and investing funds for
designing curriculum activities long with its delivery to students. They are accountable to remain
involve in meeting of approving design to organise more effective and interesting extra
curriculum activities which make student motivated and make them fresh mind for again begin
with academic learning (Noh and Lee, 2017). It is necessary for management of educational
institute to organise a extra curriculum activity such as dance competition, singing competition,
English calligraphy, crafting etc. which encourage students along with improving their bored
mood. A change is required in academic learning to motivate them in regard to continuous
learning trough organising trips and picnics.
External bodies are accountable to provide guideline for teachers to organise trips on specific
intervals of time. It includes the limited criterion of funds regarding these curriculum activities
for motivating organisations providing educational facilities. It also contains the role of
providing guidelines for teaching practices, procedures and use of appropriate sources.
Organisational requirements on curriculum and practice on own area of specialism.
The organisational requirement is to gain sufficient amount of funds in terms of hiring well
experienced and highly qualified teachers. It includes organising entire structure to provide child
care and education by making proper availability of resources. Meanwhile, it has been analysed
that employees should be hired with Master’s in different subjects and degree in early childhood
education and care and experience of working with kids. It includes various requires in respect of
curriculum and practice within child care and education like proper availability of seating with
colourful table and chairs with interesting table cloths of having prints of flowers or animals that
make them remember about them easily (Blackmore, Aylward and Grace, 2016). It is necessary
to take care of child care and safety for that first aid kit is required with all necessary medicines,
emergency doors or windows should be available in proper quantity, fire extinguisher and
policies to maintain safety for students. It is required for tutors to follow al the safety regulations
and maintain better plan of education ti deliver education to them.

Analyse the quality improvement and quality assurance in your organisation.
In context of Early Education, it had been analysed that effective strategies and practices are
involved in terms of quality improvement as well as quality assurance. It includes the criterion of
focussing on safety, health and happiness of kids who were learning in my organisation.
However, it consist provide support in regard to early care and education work force to increase
their knowledge level and skills by organising effective training sessions for them. In addition to
this, it is necessary to utilise observations and assessments for supporting every child’s
requirements across all developmental domains. It consist the criterion of developing the culture
of continuous quality improvement in terms of delivering better care and education children for
their bright future. Meanwhile, it is essential to build partnerships in order to support quality
which impact positively on childcare and education. I use to conduct regular inspections to gain
assurance regarding quality by inspecting that every desired policy is considered by staff in our
organisation.
Explain the function of self-assessment and self-evaluation in the quality cycle.
Quality cycle refers to an important and effective model that can be used to conduct self-
assessment ad self-evaluation in terms of improving quality of educational practices. It is also
known as PDCA cycle which includes the criterion of plan, do, check and act according to which
we conduct assessment of factors which create barrier in improvement of quality. However, the
criterion of self-assessment can be defined as the process of identifying the current quality of
educational practices along with evaluating the threats (Stahl, Schober and Spiess, 2018). It will
facilitate to determine the barriers of interfering maintenance of proper quality so that effective
actions can be established in terms of removing them. I utilise this as it is a positive approach to
boost up quality of educational procedures to deliver appropriate care for children welfare.
Additionally, self-evaluation refers to conduct that effective procedures are followed or not along
with analysing their effectiveness for applying more efficient practices.

In context of Early Education, it has been analysed that we focus on through which children
become bale to easily grab learning. It includes organising interesting programme by developing

garden within school campus including houses of birds and small animals which are helpful in
observational learning for students. We have 4 aquariums with different fish species which are
favourable in learning process. It includes establishing classes of natural environment in garden
area which helps to make studies more interesting and kids can easily learn about natural
creatures. However, we utilise digital aids through which children can learn concepts and
theories with the help of stories. It includes providing training to the teachers in terms of
providing education by conducting an activity and involving students on such activities where
possible. This helps in effective education and encourages shy and scared kids to actively
participate in different creating practices like art, craft and drawing.
Identify areas for improvement in your learning programme taking account of the outcomes of
the evaluation.
Considering the current educational practices in Early Education, there are still some of areas
where improvement is required such as there is a lack of sufficient digital tools. The digital tools
that are available are not sufficient as per strength of students due to which requirements are
more than availability which are required to be improved. However, the garden areas are
developed but not maintained properly like plants in shapes which are more effective to make
children learn mathematical shapes. It is required that improvement are need in aquariums of
school which contains only fishes but it is required to have more aquatic animals and plants in
them to make learning more efficient for kids. CCTV cameras are required in the entire campus,
some of cameras are available but they are not working properly.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it has been concluded that child care & education can be described as a
practice when tutors educate children along with taking care of their other needs. It is necessary
to adopt more innovative and advanced technology which helps to make education more
interesting. However, garden maintenance and training or teachers to involve students in
educational activities to encourage their active participation is very important for their bright
future.
