Education policy in United States
Introduction
Education policy in every country involves the principles and government policies in the
sphere of education. The policy also deploys a bundle of laws and rules that guide the education
system operation. Education affects all the individuals at all ages hence it should be well guided.
Discussion
The education policy is a topic that is in the mainstream in the country. Over the past
three decades, the individual who is involved in the education policymaking department has
made an increase at both the state and federal government levels concerning the improvement of
the educational institution in the country.
The introduction and adaptation of common core state standards initiative reflected a
positive gain in the education system of the United States. Common Core is an education
initiative which took place in the year 2010 and it was aimed towards making sure that K-12
students know the English language and mathematics by the end of each school grade (Leone,
Peter, and Lois, p.60-77). This positive reform was sponsored by the National Governors
Association. The act of No Child Left behind (NCLB) was supported by a great number in the
senate-house and signed by the president George W. Bush. This was an assurance that no one
should affect the existing education in any way. Such a positive action prevented the region from
suffering from time to time change of the system which brings confusion to everyone.

trainer can realize the poor sector that needs much concentration. It can also be used by parents
and the government as a weighing machine of the teachers' performance in their job.
The United States displayed a positive increment through the introduction of free
community colleges. Under this program, the tuition fee for the student was fully covered. This
action allowed a greater number of them to have access to a college education. From the current
reforms, the government has fully modernized the education system in the region. For example,
the level of technology in all the public institution has been uplifted. The modernization of
education is an action that has made the system easy to observe and control (Fulcher and Gillian,
pp.70).
The government of the United States has conducted some reforms in the education
system aiming at finding a permanent solution whereby no individual can affect the defined laws
and policies. When the government arrives at these policies anyone who will need to make a
change should have full support from the people. The government has introduced some
education reforms in the sponsorship of the education institution (Allais and Stephanie, p.632-
642). The reforms are geared toward bringing a lasting solution in the disagreement between the
teachers union and the education reforms groups such as Texans for Education Reform, (TEXAS
METHOD REFORMS).
The country has been spending most of her finances funding the education institution
which describes her efforts towards the improvement of the education in the region (Albrecht
and Susan, 1p.4-15). The education should be controlled by the federal government which will
allow equality to all the students as they will be served from a neutral point.

Conclusion
In the process of perfecting the education policy in the United States, all the involved
organization should merge and come up with a permanent and lasting solution. The defined
solution should be well covered by the law in a way that no one can change them without the
support from American people.
