Education being one of the most part of everyone’s life plays a supreme role in the
overall development of an individual. An individual is thereby required to continue getting
educated in their particular field of interest with a foremost consideration of developing their
career and attain their future goals and aspirations (Hopkinson, 2014, pp.383). Although,
selection of a suitable course together plays a pivotal role in crafting the future of the students
who are looking to aggrieve their intended goals of future. This results in the existence of several
such considerations that are needed to be taken up by the students while choosing an appropriate
course along with the University that can serve the purpose of developing themselves into the
specifically chosen area of study (Zepeda, S.J, Professional development: What works. Eye on
education, Larchmont, 2012). This is basically due to a lot number of distractions that can hinder
their adopted procedure of selecting a course that suits their preference. It is for instance to refer
to the choices made by the parents as well the friends and peers whose guidance may not meet to
the preferences of the student intending to choose a particular subject area of his or her own
liking. Also, another major issue is in regard to select a university in which, the preferred subject
will be there.
Education is the key of success in every individual’s life. In order to gain higher
education, individuals have to take the help from college, schools and universities. These are
those institute that have great responsibility to provide proper education and training to student
regarding specific subject which student chooses. In simple words, it can be said that education
is the process of facilitating learning or the acquisition of knowledge, skill, value, beliefs and
habits (Calderhead, 2012, pp.11-18). An individual can acquire knowledge after studying
particular subject matter or experiencing life lesson that delivers understanding and knowledge
about something. It is a basic and fundamental necessity of life that provides an effective level of
standard to individual and way of living. In absence of education, individuals cannot learn
something in their life and cannot be able to develop a successful career. Education helps a lot in
lessening the challenges of life difficult life. Education can completely change the mind of
individuals and personality that helps to anyone for achieve the positive attitude. With the help of
education, individuals can improve their personality, way of communication, attitude, thoughts,
beliefs, value, behaviour and professionalism. Better selection of education is necessary for all to

go head in the life and get success. It develops the confidence and helps to build personality of a
person.
The entire education can be divided into three categories such as primary education,
secondary education and higher secondary education. Primary education prepares the base which
aids throughout the life (Buxton, Burns, and De Muth, 2012, pp.155). On the other hand,
secondary education designs the criteria and path for further study and higher secondary
education prepares ultimate path for future and whole life. With the help of education, various
doors open regarding opportunities for achieving better prospects in life so that individuals can
promote career growth. When any individual decides to get education then it is important to look
towards the effective educational institute and school (St‐Jean, 2012, pp.200-216). Proper
selection of college and university is equally important in education because student can get
education and learning through college and universities. The quality of educational services and
learning program largely depend upon the educational institutes and school through which
students are supposed to get training. College is important for many reasons like long term
financial gain, job stability, career satisfaction and success.
Being a student in Bachelor of Psychology Ion the University Malaysia, I understand the
significance and value of education. To achieve the target of my life regarding study, proper
selection of courses is very important. Education can easily fulfil all my targets and aim in my
life regarding the career. Proper selection of college and university is equally very important in
the education because student can get education and learning through college and universities. I
am the student in Bachelor of Psychology and studying in the University of Malaysia.
My major aim in the life is to become successful financial manager in any reputed
organisation where I can fulfil all my dreams and destinations regarding career and professional
life. I wanted to work in the most popular organisation where I can get various development
opportunities, financial growth, professional growth, etc. To accomplish this aim of life, I am
required to focus on the effective and proper education. I needed to select the most appropriate
educational centre where I can improve my personality and professionals. Several kinds of issues
and things I have faced at the time of selection of college and universities. One of the major
considerations is related with the location. As I always prefer to do education in my local city
and town because my entire family are settled in Malaysia. Thus, I always prefer to select that

college and university which is situated in Malaysia. While I searched the educational institute,
my first preference is location of college.
Another major consideration regarding selection of college is quality of educational
services and training. As I am very serious about my career and goal of life. I seek to learn
higher education and attend high quality of training so quality of education service is also very
important consideration for me at the time of selection of college and university. At the time of
selection, the universities I have looked upon the detail information about universities and its
associated courses. I have selected the universities according to the rank and reviews of other
students who have already studied in those institutes. I have looked upon the other student’s
experience and reviews on the internet while I was searching universities. As I believed that
university and college provides complete package of knowledge and ideas to students through
which they can improve their personality and profession. University and college is the creation
and dispersion of knowledge.
Universities and college provides opportunities to students for gain success and improve
their knowledge, skill, ability, capability and creativity. It provides various opportunities and
chances for get growth and improvement in their life (Grohmann and Kauffeld, 2013, pp.135-
155). Thus, at the time of selection university and college, my major concern regarding the
educational services quality and training. On the basis of student reviews and comments on the
web page I have selected most popular university in the Malaysia which have maximum positive
reviews on the internet. The selected university and college have high skilled lecturers and staff
member who always support to student for training and education. I have seen that y university
provides the top learning program to student who do not provided by other college and
university.
For address my life aim I have searched the top ten college in the Malaysia and selected
one of the most popular and famous institute that can help me in improving my knowledge,
personality and professionalism. This university and college will help me in developing my
knowledge skill, capability, ability, personality and professional through which I can able to
develop successful career and life. My another consideration at the time of selection of university
and college is environment, sense of discipline and health and safety. An effective teaching
environment is equally important for get great education from university and college. In addition
to this, proper disciplines and rule are equally important for design successful career in student

life. When there is not proper discipline and rule regarding training and education within college
and school then it will directly affect learning and career of student. An excellent training and
educational institute always sets some specific principles and rules regarding educational
services and training that should have followed by student as well as teachers who provide
education to students. By adopt proper principles, rules and regulation, student can design
successful career and path for their professional life. In addition to this, I have also considered
health and safety in the university and college (Shek and et. al., 2013, pp.353-361). An effective
learning is possible when students teaches in safe and secure environment. A safe and secure
environment create positivity around student through which they can better learn to regard
subject. Thus, at the time of selection of university, I have also focused of health and safety
aspect.
I have also analysed that selection of proper course program is equally important as an
educational centre to achieve success in the life. To get effective success and a successful career,
I also required select the most effective courses that may fulfil my life aim. The selection of
course program is directly linked with career and professional life of student. The course which
we choose in educational life is directly reflect upon over career and future in the life. The
present selection of course affects professional as well as personal life of individual (Kinnie and
Swart, 2012, pp.21-38). The survival of life is depending upon the effective education so it is
very important for student to select most interesting and scope full course and degree through
which they can design their successful career.
As I desires to become successful financial manager in the reputed organisation so for
achieve this objective I have selected two courses that is Psychology and financial management.
On the basis of research and collected information have selected two courses that is Psychology
and financial management. At the time of selection of these courses, several kinds of issues I
faced. One major issue I faced regarding proper knowledge about future scope of these courses.
As I am fresher student in the college have not much knowledge about the proper selection and
choice of program. In order to select most effective and suitable courses I have faced issue
regarding lack of proper knowledge and idea about subject scope. Another issue I have faced
regarding study material and proper training. As I have lack of effective knowledge and idea
about the career development by selecting course. For overcome these issue regarding lack of
knowledge and idea, I have taken guidance from my seniors in college who have effective

experience and knowledge of several courses and program. My senior and teacher have guided
and directed me in selecting most effective course which can help me in achieving my life goal.
My parents and friends have also supported me in providing accurate knowledge and information
regarding course. With help of support from family and friends have collected several and detail
knowledge about the psychology and financial management and finally taken the decision to
select these two courses. I have selected two courses that is financial statement and Psychology.
In the financial statement course I have learnt several aspects of financial management and its
several methods. With help of this course I can learn the roles and responsibilities of financial
managers and their criteria of working. As financial management refers to the efficient and
effective management of money in such manner as to accomplish the objective of the
organisation. In this management, financial manager has to focus on planning, organising,
directing, controlling the financial activities such as procurement and utilisation of fund within
organisation. The financial management is generally considered the procurement, allocation,
controlling the financial resources within organisation through which appropriate outcome can
obtain ineffective manner. The major objective of financial management is to ensure the regular
and adequate supply of funds and ensure optimum fund utilisation. Finance management is very
important aspect for every business organisation through which firm can determine and develop
a systematic planning for financial resources. With assistance of this aspect, company can
prepare a systematic report of all financial resources and control according to the situation. With
assistance of this aspect, company can produce annual report for all financial activities. In
addition to this, it provides a detailed and disaggregated information about products, individual
activities, division plants, operations and assignment. Activity based costing, helps in taking
business decision, Utilisation of data, Cost analysis are major purpose of the financial
management that helps to corporation in managing financial activities. When I will be financial
manager then I needed to focus on three decisions that is investment decision, financial decision
and dividend decision. In the investment decision, I have to focus on the investment in fixed
assets and investment in current assets. This subject has helped me in large manner.
Another course I have selected is Psychology that helps me to understand the functions of
human behaviour and mind. It is the mental characteristics and attitude if the person and group.
The Psychology is the science of behaviour and mind including the conscious and unconscious
phenomena as well as feeling and attitude of individual. It is the science of human behaviour,

mind, attitude, thoughts and feeling through which they interact and behave with other people in
the society. This course refers to the application of the knowledge which can be used to
understand the other individual issue, events, employment, relationship with other, live in the
society improve education and knowledge. This subject helps me in understanding human nature,
attitude, behaviour etc. through which I can easily understand other people nature at workplace.
This course has huge scope in the future which will help me in my career as I can become
understand the people and their nature in effective and appropriate manner.
As I wanted to become successful financial manager in the reputed company so for
achieve this objective I have selected course of financial management. On the other hand, in the
financial decision I have to focus on the raising of finance from various resources which will
depend upon decision on types of sources and cost of financing. In addition to this, in the
dividend decision I have to focus on the net profit distribution.
I have selected this course for get detail knowledge and understanding about scope,
principles, rules, concepts, terminology, methods and techniques of financial management that
will help me in becoming successful financial manager in the organisation. By help of this course
I can manage the regular financial activities, allocation, procurement activities and control the
budget of business. By help of this course I can learn the various functions of financial
management such as investment of fund, disposal of surplus, choice of sources of funds,
estimation of capital requirement identification of composition of capital etc. In order to become
the successful and effective financial manager in business enterprise, I have to focus on the
effective training and learning. My university have given several chances and opportunities for
learn detail knowledge and understanding about financial management. By help of skilled
teachers, mentors, friends in the college, I have got effective training and learning to regard
financial management.
Thus, from the entire discussion it has been analysed that these two courses have largely
helped me in improving my personality and professionalism in my life. I have selected the most
popular college and educational centre that helped me in improving my career and professional
life. I have analysed that tutor, teacher, parents and friends plays a very significant role in the
learning and education life in the study who give guidance and direction to student through
which student can select which criteria should choose by student to get success in the life. I have
also analysed that education institutes, college and university provide the chance to improve

individual qualification and profession through which they can design a strong path for life
survivals. Training institute and college gives several chances to improve competencies and
ability in the personality of individual. On the basis of quality of training and learning program,
student can achieve their life goal and design career. By this entire consideration I have analysed
that in order to develop successful career and professional life, decision regarding selection of
course and education institute is very important. In my education duration, the selection of
course and training institute played a great role as my entire success as it largely depends upon
selection of course and university. I have faced several issue in during education but proper
planning, schedule, effective information, support from family and friends have largely helped in
achieve my success.
