INTRODUCTION
The aim of student is to achieve success in the university. In order to achieve growth, it is
necessary for a student to work with focus and learn in an effective manner. Here, in this essay
there is discussion related to Covid-19 and its impact. It is seen that the pandemic has impacted
upon various sectors and majorly on hospitality, travel and leisure. It is essential to understand
the impact of Covid and learn from the same (Liu, 2019). Formative feedback is a continuous
activity of teachers in class that help to identify the areas of improvement of students. A student
can know about their areas of weakness that helps an individual in improving summative
assessed work. There are various cultural and behavioural expectations that are required by an
individual to take a business management degree. At the same time, it is necessary to note that
taking the review from peers is important and working in team will help students to enhance their
learning experience.

Impact of Covid-19
Covid-19 pandemic is faced by whole world. It has impacted all the business organisation
operating in different industries. It has a negative impact on hospitality, travel and leisure. The
people are scared of moving out from homes and they were required to follow strict lock down
around the world (Davahli and et. al., 2020). It is a problematic situation for customers as well, it
has a great impact on the business of hospitality, travel and leisure industry. It has been observed
that there were low sales in hospitality industry. It creates unemployment and some of the
employees left the organisation due to lack of motivation (Kang and et. al., 2021) (Park and
Jones, 2021). The morale of employees went down and were unable to cope up with the
situation. There were low sales in the industry and profitability graph went down. The
organisations fired employees due to less work and no money to pay salaries. Now, the hotels are
required to focus on health and safety of customers as well as employees. It is seen that all the
individuals are concerned about health. The provision of wearing mask and using sanitizers are
essential in hotel industry (Huang and et. al., 2020). This requires the organisation to have proper
safety measures in order to save their employees and customers from this virus. The mental
stress is continuously increasing due to isolation, low business incomes, fear of virus, etc. It has
also impacted on the business of hospitality industry. That's why they need to motivate

employees and attract their customers simultaneously. At this time, the investment of
organisation is increasing as it helps in raising the income level. It has become necessary for
organisations to formulate strategies that helps them to overcome these complexities.
Use of formative feedback
Formative feedback is given by teacher on regular basis as it helps in continuous
development of students. The teacher tells the students about their weak areas with the help of
this assessment that shows that the formative assessment is for improved learning. The students
are able to learn from the feedback and they work upon those areas and learn for future
development (Brink and Bartz, 2017). Summative assessment is provided in the end to check the
learning of students. Formative assessment helps the students to be prepared and work on their
weak areas so they can be able to perform effectively. It helps me to know my weakness and try
to work appropriately in summative assessment (Voinea, 2018). Formative feedback helps to
measure skills and knowledge of the student and the feedback given by teacher should be taken
seriously. If the students knows about their areas improvement than they can make action plan to
formulate their goals. It is necessary to note that the feedback of teacher in class is also helpful
for the students and helps them in improvising. With the help of short term goals I am able to
achieve their long term goals and the use of formative feedback also serves as a guide for
summative assessment. It will helps me to work on my skills as well as knowledge. Formative
feedback refers to the set of instructions that are beneficial for improving knowledge and abilities
of a student. These instructions will also help me in providing the person several corrective
measures and formulate better strategies that will be beneficial for the students (Panadero and et.
al., 2019). My teachers also provide me formative feedbacks that helps me in my summative
assessment to score good marks and also develop myself for future career goals.
Cultural and behavioural expectations of studying for a degree in business and management
Business management is an important course for students as it provides guidance to
students that how they can manage their work in an effective way. It is necessary for the students
that they have to focus on their behaviour during the study in business management course. This
is crucial for students to understand the importance of their behaviour towards the study of
business management (Lin and Huang, 2020). Business management is not only a degree but
also a process that assists students to learn management. For an effective learning, it is necessary
for all students that they should focus on their behaviour. It means their behaviours should be

always learning in which they are ready for learn the things in an effective way. It will help
students to apply these skills in an actual life (Haneberg and Aaboen, 2021). It is crucial for
students that their behaviour should be professional in which they are ready to take feedback
from teachers. Formative feedback is the not the end process as students need to use those
comments for improving their knowledge and skills. In my own business management degree, I
always focus upon assertive behaviour while studying this course. My learning behaviour helps
me to learn the skills in an effective way which I can easily apply on real life situations. This
behaviour is also beneficial for business as environment gets very complex. That's they are
currently recruiting business management students as they believe that those students possess
enough skills and knowledge to overcome with the complexities. Due to this, I will take a
competitive advantage.
Importance of peer-to-peer support and team working
In the complex and dynamic world, it is important for every student that they should
understand the importance of peer to peer support and team working. These skills have enough
power to overcome complexities in any field or sector (Schwei and et. al., 2021). I found that
peer-to-peer support is defined as the way in which two or more people are always ready to
support each other. For example, in a company new employees are recruited and that's why they
are unable to understand the way of working. But with the help of peer-to-peer support, new
recruiters are able to understand the way of working of organisation as they get full guidance
from their colleagues. So in this way, peer-to-peer support works (Ihrig and et. al., 2020). In
addition to this, I also analysed that team working is also very important in every field. It is very
helpful in achieving organisational goals where every employee is ready to work in group. Their
personal goals get integrated with organisational goals. Team work leads to collaboration and
coordination between people that makes easy for them to achieve desired results. Both peer-to-
peer and team working are effective in enhancing learning experiences. In my own experience, I
found that peer-to-peer support and team working are necessity for achieving goals. In lectures
of University, where I have to did a group assessment then I always get good support from my
peers. This gives a good result as we are able to achieve goals and objectives in an effective
manner.

CONCLUSION
From the above essay, it is analysed that learning is essential part in a student's life. It is
important to note that there is a direct impact of Covid-19 on hospitality, travel and leisure. It has
decreased the sale of industry as well as the morale of employees. There is a discussion related to
use of formative feedback as it helps to enhance the summative assessed work. The feedback
given by teacher should be take positively so that they able to improve their skills and
knowledge. In addition to this, it also covers the behaviour which is expected during the study of
business management. Business management is the important learning course for students as
they get knowledge that how they can manage things in short time. It also helps in optimum
utilisation of scarce resources. For the purpose of learning business management, it is very
important for all students that their behaviour should be assertive and learning. It means they
need to align themselves and invest into active learning so that they are able to apply in real life.
With the help of business management, an individual is able to manage their work in an effective
way. This report also discussed the importance of peer to peer support and team working as it is
necessary for organisational success and growth. Students need to understand the importance of
team working as it effectively integrated personal goals with organisational goals. They also able
to boost collaboration and coordination in the team.
