INTRODUCTION
With advancement in UK teaching practices, many learning models shape the
learning experiences for both the teachers and students. Through this report, the major focus
will be on analysing teaching models and their application on teaching practices. The report
will also emphasize on the learning preferences and how the individual learning preferences
help in comprehensive teaching.
MAIN BODY
1.1 Learning theories and models
The learning theories and models are the core foundation that help in evaluating the
retention power of students. With a focus on creating a meaningful impact, these learning
theories help teachers to initiate activities for balancing the student-mentor relationship.
On the other hand, the learning models states different avenues of learning new skills that
builds a learning aptitude outside of structured teaching (Lombrozo, 2019).
The four learning theories that help in analysing the factors that control the teaching
practices are known as Cognitivism Theory, Behaviourism Theory, Constructivism and
Connectivism theory.
Learning models, on the other hand, are categorized into Kolb, VARK, Gregorc and
Hermann learning models.
1.2 Applications Of Learning Theories and Models
1. Cognitive Theory: The Cognitive theory can be practised by rewarding students
who are creating a value, providing feedback with every performance and focusing
on ethnic values and academic integrity.
2. Behaviourism Theory: The behaviourism theory can be initiated when teachers
understand the behaviour and learning patterns on individual basis.
3. Constructivism Theory:Practices that can help in implementing constructivism
theory can be done by assigning experimental tasks, understanding experiences,
instructing pathways for easy comprehension.

4. Connectivism Theory: Strategies that help in using connectivism theory are
installing educational apps, enabling digital tools and creating a social forum to
engage two-way communication (Wang and et.al ,2018).
1.3 Different Styles of Learning
The interlinking of teaching method and learners attitude help in improving the
overall learning practice in classrooms. So, the VARK model is an essential model to
understand the learning styles and their impact on students (Hasib and et.al, 2021).
1. Visual: The visual learning styles has a focus on learning through visual
presentations, graphics and charts.
2. Auditory: In auditory learning, the students gain knowledge by listening to lectures
or processing information through music.
3. Reading/writing: For better understanding, some learners are more inclined
towards reading a material or even writing a piece of information.
4. Kinaesthetic: This kind of learner usually learn by experiencing the usage of
objects through touch or physical movements to learn about a particular subject.
1.4 Implication of Learning styles on Inclusive Teaching.
The different learning styles help in identifying the core strengths and opportunities
for students. If teachers are well-known of the student learning pattern, the course material
and other significant resources can be well managed in advance (Aljawarneh, 2020).
The VARK model of learning has a huge impact on education as it brings a
correlation between learning styles and preferences in accordance to the current education
structure.
CONCLUSION
Therefore, it can be concluded that an efficient learning will only happen with initiatives
that guarantee overall development of learning environment. Moreover, a careful scrutiny of
learning styles help in making teaching a less cumbersome process.
