INTRODUCTION
Education plays a vital role in life of students. It is important to note that there is key role
of education and training. Life of a student can change if they are being give effective education.
They are able to learn and develop skills by getting effective education (Maharshi, 2018)
(Lamon, 2020). Teacher plays a major role in impacting education to the students. The education
is denied as the various skills which is been is given at the time of individual perusing his/ her
studies in university. It is the most important aspect for the personal and professional
development of an individual. The teaching is defined as the professional who have a knowledge
of the various areas and hep the individual in co0mpleting their education. The teaching is
defined as a profession where there is various rules and regulation which need to be followed by
the teacher. There are various roles an responsibilities of a teacher. The teacher has to plan and
give their knowledge to the students so that they are able to build their career. The teaching also
involving guiding and instructing students on the right path for their development. This report
will include various topic such as roles and r responsibilities of a teacher and the various
legislations of being a teacher which need to be followed and at last reflection.

Roles and responsibilities of a teacher
A teacher need to perform the various roles an responsibilities in order to guide students
and make their career. The various roles of a teacher is discussed below:
It is very important for the teacher to plan and design the day to day task which need to be
conducted in classroom which need to be delivered to the students (Kaye and Rumble, 2018).
 The another role of the teacher is ti guide and instruct students on the right path for the
development and being professional in their future career.
 The teacher need to plan that a classroom teaching should be developed in an effective
manner so that students are able to understand the aspect of the various topic taught
within the classroom.
Responsibilities of a teacher

It is very essential for the teacher that they perform the various task with a responsible
professional. As teaching is considered as a profession which requires a lot of rules and
regulation. The various responsibilities are discussed below:
 the professionalism is the most major responsibility which need to be maintained by the
teacher.
 The teacher is responsible for making students understand every topic which is been
taught in the classroom and manage the various task.
 Also the teacher is responsible for being calm with students so that they can understand
their weaknesses and help inn developing within the each individual.
It is been identified that there are various legislation for the teacher that need to be
followed so that they do not face any legal actions. As in respect of the specialisation area the
education policies are important for the teacher and also teacher is responsible for following the
equality act 2010. this states that the teacher should not discriminate its any of the students.
Every one should be given equally right. The education sector has the different rules and
regulation which a teacher is responsible for following and the different resources which is been
used by the teacher.
Individual reflective work
From my experience I have learn that it is very important that being a teacher an teaching
about the values in each individual. My experience says that teaching values to the students is the
most difficult part but if I have analysed that it is important for the envelopment of an individual
and becoming a good student and an individual in life. It is very important for me to teach the
values and how t respect to other,. This is the process which comes out from your inner thinking
and peace. The mindsets of each individual is different and this reflects on the life on an
individual. There are various skills which I have developed in order to motivate students that
they learn the basic things in order to become a successful person in life. I was able to teach the
values by being calm with my students and I use to believe in making a relation with every
student which helped me in achieving to my goals.
It was very important for me to understand individual and and their weakness to develop
their understanding an improve in their skills and abilities. There were various sessions which
were conducted by me in order to develop various skills within the individual. Also I use to
prepare a plan in order to Identify the weak areas of the students and address them in a an

effective manner. As there were different personalities in the classroom which I need to be
careful being calm with my students. I was very flexible and being adaptable to the various
changes which are required within the education industry. As the technology helped me in
making students aware of the things and developing the technology skills in them.
The use of the power point presentations helps in in making the topics and the classroom
learning in an effective way. Bring a teacher it is every important for me to gather the various
information from different resources so that the topics becomes clear to the each individual. As
there were different personalities but bei9nh patience with every student help me in my
profession. I was god at observing each students with their face expressions which help me in
analysing that how much they are getting or not. Also I practice the various learning sessions
which included test and activities which were conducted within the classroom in order to
evaluate the performance of students.

Analysis of role of initial and diagnostic assessment
Initial assessment occurs at the beginning of transition into a new learning program. The
best practices used during initial assessment of learners includes introduction, interviews and
discussions to understand the background, aims and interests of the students observation on the
student skills, appraisal of the student, including written forms, profile forms, paperwork and
questionnaire, self-assessment and usage of initial assessment tools to measure the level of
knowledge currently possessed by the student. The usage of an initial learning assessment helps
teachers identify support and learning needed in case of specific students, so that their individual
learning plan can be created.
Advantage: Initial learning assessment creates a holistic process of learning where each
individual student is able to build a vision about their achievements, skills, interests, previous
learning, experience and goals so that the learning needs associated with the goals can support
further learning (Westwood, 2018). The usage of initial learning assessment is beneficial in
personal area of education because it helps understand the areas which need to be worked on
each individual student and ensure that they gain personalized learning environment.
Disadvantage: Conducting assessment at starting offer learning program leads to demotivation
of students who perform poorly in the initial assessment. This can negatively reflect on their

performance during their learning program and their interest in participating in learning
activities. It is important to ensure that the initial self-assessment does not affect the confidence
of students towards learning by giving them guidance on ways to improve their knowledge
through the learning program.
Diagnostic assessment focuses on identification of learning strengths and weaknesses in
different students. The application of diagnostic assessment helps understand the learning targets
as well as appropriate teaching and learning strategies for individual students. The best practices
related to diagnostic assessment are one to one conversation, self-assessment, analysis of piece
of free writing and usage of diagnostic assessment tool (Alquraini, and Rao, 2020).
Diagnostic assessment is applied in order to discover the difficulties students face during
learning, teaching and assessment. Both student and teacher are able to learn about weaknesses

Advantage: The usage of diagnostic assessment is advantageous because many learners are able

In addition to this identification of specific units and skills required for completing an academic
task can also be identified through the usage of a diagnostic tool.
Disadvantage: The disadvantage of diagnostic tool is that it cannot be applied in large groups as
it may develop in inaccurate assumptions about students, knowledge of a subject. In addition to
this students who are in familiar with the use and application of diagnostic tool can also become
anxious and stressed because of assessment at initial periods of their learning (Casinillo and et.
al., 2020). It is important to understand background of the student and communicate them. The
usage of diagnostic tool before applying this tool in learning programs.
Importance of identifying and agreeing individual learning needs
Individual learning needs are defined as the requirements of each individual students in
relation to their subject and learning program. Different practices are used in teaching in order to
identify individual learning needs so that an appropriate individual learning brand can be created.
Diagnostic assessment tools and initial assessment tools help teaching staff identify individual
learning needs. The importance of identification of individual learning needs is provided below:

 The actions taken to identify individual learning needs help increase student engagement.
This is because individual learning needs help identify individual preferences of students
towards subject matter and choice of learning material (Chapman and McConnell, 2021).
Students remain engaged in their educational activities as they are given learning material

of the student and teacher as specific weaknesses of the individual student are addressed
through appropriate strategies and approaches which creates a personalized learning
environment of the student.
 Understanding individual learning needs reduces discrimination and prejudice in learning
environments. This is before Steve just aren't able to identify individual learning
requirements related to physical, sensory and mental capabilities of this rent. This includes
understanding with the teacher about the mental, physical and sensory condition of the
students. The teachers are able to address these limitations through development of
individual learning plan (Du Plessis, 2021).
 It also helps to develop learning strategies so that they are able to use them. It is necessary to
note that teacher plays a major role in making students learn. There are different strategies
that effect learning of an individual so that they are able to learn with effectiveness and

efficiency. The effectiveness of learning strategies depends on learning needs which need to
be identified early in the learning program.
