Quality improvement and Quality assurance
 In Curwen Primary School, quality in study is
very important as it becomes the necessity of all
students. It is found that in the environment of
competitive world, it is very necessary for
schools. That they should maintain the quality in
their learning process so that students get good
and effective learning. It is necessary for a school
that they should ensure about quality
improvement and quality assurance.

Function of self-assessment and self-
evaluation and the quality cycle
 Quality reviewing and improvement is the
continuous process, that's why it is called a
quality cycle in which an organisation need to
do improvement in quality on a regular basis. In
the cycle of quality, there are many functions of
self-assessment and self-evaluation which need
to be understand by schools so that they can do
this in an effective way.

The functions of self-assessment and self-evaluation are stated below:
 The functions in self assessment include course evaluation, informal sessions, formal self
assessment review, etc. In addition to this, for informing practice, use of feedback from
other is very necessary as it provide real information and free from bias.

Evaluate a learning programme
 It is very important for the schools that they should
maintain their quality in the education. For that
purpose, Curwen Primary School needs to prepare and
evaluate their learning programme which ensures their
quality. Learning programme can be evaluated by many
ways such as learner surveys, formal and informal
learner feedback, focus groups, team review, check
meeting expectations, on-programme to find
satisfaction, meeting targets, opportunities for action
plan, learner achievement records, etc.

Areas for improvement in the learning
programme
 There are many tools such as self assessment report
(SAR), feedback from stakeholders, student progression
data, achievement and success data, teaching team
feedback, feedback from internal and external verification,
student survey data, benchmarked retention, etc.
 IQA model is known as Internal Quality Assurance in
which school is able to find out their internal strengths and
weakness that becomes easy to identify the areas of
improvement.
