Axiology
It is the type of research that deals with the philosophical assumptions regarding the
influence of the value of the research as well as how the value of the researcher influence and
plays a deep role in dealing with the ethics and the aesthetics of the research. The
determination of the right and the wrong is most important factor here. It includes the
respecting of the rights of the participants, presentation of the information and also teleology,
deontology, morality and the fairness of the research (Tooley, 2017).
Epistemology
It is the philosophical consideration that deals with the viability of the research and
also the assessment of the researcher; the way he deals with the ‘nature of knowledge and
justification’. It is the knowledge regarding the reality and the various phenomenon that are
important in this category as well. It delves into the analysis of the researcher and the
research that has been produced (Roos & Von Krogh, 2016).
Ontology
It is a broad branch of philosophy. It deals with the assumption that proves the
authenticity, ideology, and the take of the researcher regarding the research. The perception,
the notion, and the authenticity of the research work are therefore dependent on the
perception and the perspective analysis of the research. Philosophical perceptions influence
the ideology and the researchers’ outlook into the research work (Klakegg, 2016).

Response to Tshewang Tashi’s Post:
The peer post by Tshewang Tashi is quite relevant to the topics there have been a lot
of discussion that has been done in the questions. The topics are separately chosen and
discussed. The factors of philosophy that needs to be discussed in, while performing the
research are- Ontology, Epistemology, and Axiology. These factors or philosophical ideas or
perspectives play a vital role in the discussion and the nature of the carrying out the research.
Hence the research work covers a vital role in the management of the information and for the
analysis of the facts that needs to be gathered in a certain manner. The research needs to be
highlighted in the light of the philosophical ideas that are preferred to be followed which will
help the research to be presented in an organised manner. Each of the terms deals with the
three philosophical notions of how the approach of the research should be maintained and
how the research should be conducted. The peer post by Tshewang Tashi comprises of an
example for how to implement the number of the research strategies that needs to be analysed
in the research work. The student has selected the topic of Behaviour management of the
Primary School Students of Bhutan. Hence the peer has highlighted how the impact of the
three philosophical ideas that has previously been discussed has made on the research that the
person would conduct.
The analysis of the Chinese primary School will be based on the number of the
philosophical ideas that has been discussed previously and the research and the learning
outcome can be dependent on the analysis and the understanding of the perceptions and the
philosophy behind it. The behavioural management can be looked into and highlighted as lot
of students face problems and also the teacher face problems regarding the handling of the
students. They need to add variety in their student management strategy.

Even the trait of the behavioural origin is different as well hence the traits which are
dependent on the home life, socio-economic backgrounds and the culture that motivates and
also brings in changes in the student.
The axiological concerns can be followed as well, if the research work is based on
the certain level of analysis of the viability of the research work and also performing
scientific enquiry sis a very important factor as the number of the questions asked d to the
student and the teachers as well will be based on the application and the outcome of the
research as well.

Situating your research
The term, “situate” means to locate, and the use of the term disciplinary field means
to identify denoted or the respectable field of certain discipline or the subject that is being
followed. The reason behind the analysis of the term “situate” is to identify the very field of
the research that needs to be done and also the denoting the abstract aspect of the research
that involves both logic and emotion. The research can only turn to be philosophical if the
researcher is only interested in the abstract as life, human and various types and kinds of
creatures.
But the meaning of the practically “situating” a research is to start analysing the
research by trying to put the work on grounds of scientific guideline and proving the facts by
the application of various kinds of scientific methods and realistic overviews and
development of the understandings. The application of the qualitative and the quantitative
methods do verge on the two spheres of reality and also scientifically proven matters
therefore by using both qualitative and quantitative methods, the research work can be done
relying on the practical application of the facts and the information that has been collected
(i.e. Qualitative) and also scientific analysis of the facts and the development of the logical
reasoning and simultaneous proving of the facts in a scientific manner (i.e. Quantitative).

The researchers are now asked to perform their research by taking an d analysing their
mode of conduct and also to suite the global up gradation of the facts and keeping up with
developing both the ideals of being scientifically proven as well as being practically
applicable therefore the research works are done based on both the scientific and the practical
application of the facts and the information.
The field of research in which I am interested in is the philosophical research in the
topic 'Student's Behaviour in Class'. The reason behind my undertaking such a topic is that
have always been a student and being a student is what I liked and enjoyed the most in my
life, therefore I would like to proceed with this type of research as I will be able to analyse
the various type of mind sets of the students as well the teachers who are guiding them to
qualitatively evaluate them according to my discretion an also I will try to analyse the
behavioural approach of the students scientifically according to their psychology based in
proven scientific guidelines (O’Brien & Battista, 2019).
Response to Shibuna Sampang:
The term is being discussed here is to “situate” by the peer Sibuna Sampang. The
meaning of the term is analysed as well and the application and the importance of the term is
done due the research purposes and therefore it’s being highlighted that the identification of
the terms of the research is important as it helps developing identification and also the
knowing of the field in which the research needs to be analysed. Thus the factor of knowing
the background and denoting of the actual field where the research needs to be done is very
important for the research otherwise the research will not be focusing on any particular matter
or idea, this may lead to the misunderstanding of the research and the critical thinking may be
hampered due to not having any definite idea regarding the post. The post discusses about the
locating the field of the research as a very important matter and also peer has shown interest

in the ‘Student’s behaviour in Class’, and has successfully established his reason, for being

Investigating Hermeneutics
1. The term “interpretation” is very important and relatable as it is dependent on the
person interpreting the idea or the image of the given context. Hence the number of
the interpretations can be variable, and the however the meaning of the context
remains the same. Hence the mode of the convergence of the meaning and the
interpretation is dependent on the critical analysis of the context. The contextual
interpretation is taken to be true always as the common belief very strong and
impactful. If the information is incorrect then it may be true to simultaneous contexts.
Hence, it can be concluded that none of the interpretations that can be made from the
context can be wrong (Mantzavinos, 2016).
2. Hermeneutic research is a subjective research for the meaning of text, art, culture,
thinking and regarding the several social phenomenon. Interpretive encounter is a part
of the hermeneutic research that needs to be analyzed encountering the methodology
that can be applied in for approaching interpretation regarding the context of
philosophy.
3. The hermeneutical understanding deals of the interpretations of various texts, speech
or different types of symbolic expressions. This mode of the study mainly focuses on
the varied nature of consciousness, truth and the importance of language (Schmidt,
2016).

Response to Shova Hamal’s Post:
The peer post by Shova Hamal, is regarding the term Hermeneutics. The post stresses
upon the meaning and its application of Hermeneutics in research works. The term is more
related to the understanding of the human mind specially that needs to be processed and
critically analyzed to include the information in the research work. The fact that how the term
hermeneutics focuses on the understanding of the human nature, consciousness and the
importance of the language is very important factor as the research work may include the
participation of humans and it is highly applicable and very helpful in the secondary mode of
data collection (Bleicher, 2017).. The quotation of Freeman is very critically analyzed by
Shova, she has very deftly researched regarding the facts that is included for the
understanding of “interpretation” of any kind and how it differs from the context. Therefore
the interpretive methods and the importance has been discussed in the post as well. Therefore
the significance of the term Hermeneutics has been discussed as well. The taxonomies that re
related to Hermeneutics are discussed as well. Hermeneutical circle is also discussed and how
it helps in the research is explained (Watson, 2015).

My Post:
1. The strengths of quantitative approach and the in terms of insights, meaning and
social impact are- reliability based on the critical analysis, short time frame of the
survey that has been conducted, and the facilitated entry of the numerical data for the
groups and the extent of the agreement from the respondent.
2. The strengths that play an important role in the insights, meaning and social impact
are- the portrayal of equal research done in every matter that is homogenous
exploration in most of the offered fields, raising of the issues that can be reflected
through broader and open-ended inquiry and the understanding of the behaviors of the
values, beliefs and the assumptions.
3. The mixed method approach makes the study more important, significant and
effective. The research develops the approach of both iterative and simultaneously
creates an outcome of the research that is more applicable and critical than the
individual methods that are applied individually. It helps in exploring more and
building up of the complex aspects and the relations of the humans and the social
world. The bonds, relationships and the aspects can be analyzed easily.
The disadvantages that can be applied is that the number of the denominations
can be many and there are various approaches that must be tried out to due to
overlapping of the two types of research methodologies therefore the research may
lack clarity and also the mixing of the two type of information may lead to unjustified
assumption of the information that may lead to the wrong establishment and inference
in the research work (Bryman, 2017).

4. The demands that the qualitative and the quantitative research methodologies
respectively have are- the question of “how” and “why” is one of the most important
factors that contributes to the research that makes the research more relatable and
questions like “how often” and “how many” contribute to building of the base and the
basic ground of research.
5. I will be definitely choosing the option of both the two approaches of the research
work, that is qualitative and the quantitative mode of analysis of the research work,
therefor my research will be reflecting on the variability, and the also the reliability
and the legitimacy of the research will be maintained (Brannen, 2017).
Response to Shibuna Sampang’s Post:
This peer post has discussed the quantitative and the qualitative factors of a research.
The peer post has been performed by Sibuna Sampang, which has highlighted the factors that
are important and why the approaches - qualitative and quantitative are followed while
performing a research work. The advantages of quantitative and the qualitative approaches
are being discussed, that will lead to the development of the research ideas and will make the
research work more justified and also help in better understanding of the research work. This
has also highly reflected on the usefulness and the utility of the two methods that has been
discussed. The negative effects though have not been discussed or highlighted either. But the
contributing factors are discussed and explained as well. The application of the mixed
methods that is using both qualitative and quantitative methods has been discussed as well.
The usefulness of the matter is reflected on, as the research work gains importance regarding
the strength and the also providing varied information and also it becomes easy for the
research scholar to establish the argument or any type of a debatable matter. The beneficial

Social research is iterative and recursive:
1. Iterative and the recursive mean of procedures include the repetitive use of the steps
and the referring the resources to achieve the required outcome. Hence the study and
the analysis of the any type of Social research is based on type of iterative and
recursive processes as the tasks that re done or performed on a daily basis are
analysed the sequence of the tasks are done systematically in a the same and are
reframed or organised in the previous way for a multiple of times (Fairfield
&Charman, 2019).
2. In the social Research there are various modes of application of the number of ways
of performing a research but the concept of personal and procedural matters is very
important as the research is based on the application of the personal as well as the
procedures that needs to be followed to perform the research for its validity and the
authentication. Hence personal traits like rewriting, reviewing own work with the
peers, giving a thought about the reaction and the response of the audience who are
targeted, checking of the viability and the validity of the data etc. are important for
performing a research. The procedural guidelines that must be followed while
performing a research are – application of various kind of new and applied strategies
that re quite popular and of which the people are well aware off, coming up with the
use of published literature, having previous knowledge and experiences based on the
topic is also recommended (McCauley, Grissom, Fitzgerald & Murphy, 2015).
