project
The prime objective of this project is to develop a streaming application
and solution to upgrade the way EdMI uploads its educational videos and
games. The high growth rate of internet users is a viable condition for the
implementation of a streaming solution for educational services. It would
help the EdMI to expand its market share in the educational industry and
generate better revenue from it. The streaming system will also improve
the efficiency and durability of the videos and the games developed by
EdMedia International. The data management services integrated with
this system provide better flexibility and knowledge generation to the
organization.
STAKEHOLDER ANALYSIS
PART 1: WHAT DO WE WANT FROM THIS PROJECT (Provide a short synopsis)
 Description: The main objective of this streaming solution is to enhance the
distribution system of the educational products offered by EdMI. This application
will also be helpful to store and maintain the educational data generated by EdMI
using various data management technologies.
 Background: This streaming solution is developed for EdMedia International Pty
Ltd. EdMI produces many educational videos and games for its customers and
distributes it through DVDs or Blue Ray. The market share occupied by EdMI is
decreasing over time. This is because the accessibility of their products by the
customers is less flexible. There is a need for a new media development solution.
 Proposed Solution: To enhance the current distribution system and improve the
market position we propose a streaming software solution which will help in flexible
delivery and management of the education products and helps in knowledge
generation from customer data.
PART 2: WHAT DO OUR CLIENTS WANT FROM THIS PROJECT (Provide a short synopsis)
 Description: The main requirement from this project is to have a streaming solution
which will help the organization in improving its product delivery system and
enhance the strength in the market. The application should be able to provide
solutions for data management and knowledge generation.
 Background: The EdMI is an organization that develops educational media services
for the client which are distributed in the form of DVD and Blue Ray. The 40%
market share held by the organization is slowly eroding over time. It is time to
implement a flexible and efficient system based on the latest technologies.
 Proposed Solution: To enhance the current distribution system and improve the
market position we propose a streaming software solution which will help in flexible
delivery and management of the education products and helps in knowledge
generation from customer data.

Approach (high-level

 For the success of this pilot project, it is necessary for a
proper project management plan and authorization of the
project members. The team formation will be a deciding
factor for the timely execution of the project. Therefore, a
good relationship between the team members is necessary.
For the services and requirements which are unable to be
fulfilled by the EdMI, a trusted sub-contractor will be hired
and the requirements will be outsourced from a trusted
organisation. Finally, a proper agreement and legal bond
signing will be done to validate the project participants of the
stakeholders and the sub-contractors.
Comments  Successful project management is not only the responsibility
the project manager but also of the project member and staff.
Therefore, proper coordination and dedicated participation of
all the entities in the project is necessary.
