INTRODUCTION
Digitalisation is a innovative process that are adopted by business organisation in order to
enhance their working process and productivity. The business environment is dynamic in nature
and keeps on changing with time, hence it is necessary to keep in pace with these modifications.
Digitalisation is one way to adapt such changes and make the business firm in accordance to
need of environment. Adoption of new and advanced technology helps company to carry out
their operation effectively and on the other hand aids in minimising the wastage or risk to
significant level. The firm selected for this project is EE limited which is a British mobile
operating company which was founded in 2010. Its headquarter is located in Hatfield, UK. It is a
small sized system and in order to achieve growth in current market area it is necessary to adapt
digital and modern technology. This project throws light on various aspects like aim and
objective of the project, importance of work breakdown structure and the need to draw
management plan in business system. Adoption of this advance system helps in achieving set
targets in given time frame. There are number of challenges that are present in competitive
world, thus to face such state of affairs it is indispensable to work according to change
management.

P1. Devise project aims and objectives
Digital technology helps every business firm to grow and excel in their field. Due to
small size of organisation it is very much necessary to choose modern technology with a aim to
make healthy relationship with the clients in market place. Digitalisation makes most of the task
very easy and carry out in effective and efficient manner(Zott, Amit and Massa, 2011). This
procedure is adopted by EE limited to improve their quality of products so that customers remain
happy with their services. Innovation is a process of introducing some new ideas and thoughts in
business process to stand apart in their field. There are number of departments in sing
organisational system which perform distinctive task related to it. In order to coordinate their
activities in one direction it is useful to create such innovative process and procedures. As
working in mobile networking area, it is essential for them to adapt such technology in their

process which helps to develop their system in momentous mode. Business organisation have to
develop some mission and vision on which they have to work in order to accomplish their tasks
properly. Similarly, employees have to align their personal goals with business plans hence, to
reach the success path in particular time frame.

advanced technology on small business organisation. Every business aims to earn huge profits
and goodwill in market area. Hence, through adoption of these concepts and processes assists in
achieving final objectives in appropriate mode. In order to maintain their good image among all
the competitors it is useful to do alterations in several departments like sales, finance, human
resource management, accounting and many more. EE limited have to perform environment
scanning before introducing something in organisational system. This helps in finding out certain
factors that directly influence the management system.

In order to develop some projects in company structure, there is need to execute certain
business plans that have to be formulated by senior managers. Management plans provide
direction to reach the final stage and make it clear in minds of employees about the working
process (Cavusgil, 2014). On the hand, focus is also made on implementation of draft plans and
monitoring it so that execution process will be carried out according to policy and procedures of
the company. It is the responsibility of managers to look after the creation of policy that have to
be enforced in organisational culture. The several determinants are mentioned below:
Cost: It is a very important component that has to be controlled so that it can be managed
in proper way. It should be the aim of organisation to adopt cost effective techniques and
minimize wastage at significant level. Cost is a important factor that has to be taken into
consideration by finance department of every business organisation. Employees have to be
trained in such a style so that they work in expeditious manner to reduce cost and increase output

Time: This factor helps in completing the tasks in proper time frame. EE Limited have to
manage all those activities that have to completed in given time period. The time wastage has to
be reduced so that it does not get included in extra cost of the company. Work division process
can be enforced in which work is divided at various level so that it can be performed easily and
smoothly.
Quality: Customers always get attracted toward quality products hence, quality should be
high and unique. Digitalisation process makes this task very effortless and assists organisation to
implement such means and techniques that make the process easy and suitable. EE Limited have
to put their efforts for continuous improvements in their quality of products or services. Hence,
this help them to gain competitive advantage.
Communication: Effective communication system, helps to establish healthy
relationship with employees and management. There can be number of cases of conflicts or
barriers that can be resolved through proper implementation of communication system. In order
to achieve this aspect, proper actions are implemented in proper system. Employees and
management level have to be connected in proper system(Stokes, Wilson, and Wilson, 2010).
Resources: There are various types of resources of different nature and types that has to
be utilized in effectual and expeditious way. Digitalisation process aids, EE Limited to employ

various resources or materials in proper mode so that wastage should not be rendered and does
not get included in losses of the company(Dezdar, and Ainin, 2011)
Scope: Project management plan have broader scope that has to be performed in EE
Limited so that operations can be carried out in accordance to digitalisation.
P3. Produce a Work breakdown structure and Gantt Chart to provide time frames and stages for
completion
Work breakdown structure(WBS) is a process of dividing the total work into smaller
amount in organisational system. There is a line of command constituted in every business firm
that specifies roles and responsibilities of employees and management level. It specifies clear
system between employees and managers. The major aim of work down structure is to bring
down the total working into smaller amount of work process. So that particular person does not
bear whole burden of work. There is superior level who delegates work to their subordinates in
order to remove the load of excess work. There are different level of work having some attached
functions and roles. This has to be known in advance by the management. The most superior
mangers keep the work under control that how much amount of work is being transferred and
take care whether it is done in correct way or not (Peppard,and Ward, 2016).
EE Limited have proper system to reduce the burden of work and helps in sharing it with
number of workers present in business firm. Firstly, they have to study the level of skills and
knowledge of each employee in business organisation and the capabilities that they possess. The
task is divided in accordance to knowledge and skill level (Eid, and El-Gohary, 2013). There are
majorly three level of management that consists of different type of people having distinct duty
and obligations.
Gantt Chart is a representation of information or data in graphical form. It helps to draw
conclusion regarding time in which particular activity will be finished. It also helps in finding out
the area that need proper attention to eliminate wastage or risk. There are certain activities that
leads to formation of certain strategy or policy that have to be properly implemented in particular
time period. Is the the duty of management to carry out the work process according to needs and
wants of customers. This graph basically show the schedule of activity that has to be carried out
in particular time period. It is divided into certain stages that have particular function to play.

All these tools or techniques that are enforced by EE Limited to produce such products
and goods that have high quality of products. Digitalisation process aids in performing the tasks
properly in EE Limited. There are diverse demands and needs of different nature. This has to met
so that people remain happy and satisfied with the performance. Adoption of advanced
technology in organisation helps in performing task in decorous manner (Porter, and Kramer,
2011).

Every business require to collect data or information for some reasons that has to be used
in decision making process. There are various sources available through which data can be
collected and is used in appropriate way. Customers are considered important asset of any
business system. Their needs and wants have to be taken into consideration for coming into some
concluding part. As every company work to satisfy the needs and requirements of final
customers that are present in market place. There are number of competitors available in market
area that poses number of challenges in front of them (Laudon, Laudon, 2016). In order to
achieve sustainable growth and share, it is necessary to perform in strategic and innovative way.
To know the interests and point of views of people in market, it is necessary to collect the
feedbacks from these people and work according to their decisions than only final outcomes can
be achieved following the proper planning process. These data aids in finding out the key areas
on which more attention can be made by management level.
Primary Data: this refer to the source of collecting data from researcher in which they
himself collect data from the clients. There number of ways through which data can be obtained
from primary sources, like observation, survey, questionnaires etc. it helps in gaining the first
hand information and is considered most reliable source of data collection. The observer
approaches their target audience and carry out the research process.
Secondary data: this refers to collecting data from already collected sources that are
newspapers, magazines or business journals etc. The information which is collected is of
previous years already collected data(Hotho, and Champion, 2011). Secondary data collection
helps in gaining such information that has already been collected by some other individual.
Qualitative Research: this type of research is based on theoretical aspects. This research
is based upon collecting the data in reference to particular name, age, customer's particular focus
area, their level of satisfaction etc. It does not involve any measurement of values and facts. The
company does not appoint any expert to carry out this process, management can themselves
work according to their process and resource availability.
Quantitative research: Through this type of research data is collected in numerical form
which can be measured in quantitative terms. There are number of statistical tools available that
can be implemented to measure the scope of that particular data. In order to carry out such

process, institution appoint some specific person to execute this task in proper mode(Fitzgerald,
Kruschwitz, and Welch, 2014).
Sampling: sampling refers to process that include selecting some percentage of people
from large number of population. The results which is obtained can be negative or positive.
Positive outcomes helps in motivating to perform such approach on the other hand negative
results help them to focus upon those areas which are lacking behind. EE Limited have selected
20 candidates from large population on which research process is conducted. It is performed
through preparation of questionnaire in which seven questions are included and answers are
taken for taking decision.
