According to author (Veal, 2017), Brexit refers to departure of united kingdom from
European union. British citizens can travel to any place in European union by providing their
valid passport at the airport. This will change after the full effect of brexit due to which British
citizens will not be allowed to travel to EU as It will consider Britain as “Third country” status
country and thus citizens of Britain will not be allowed to travel to EU states. The new European
initiative which is going to be developed to strengthen EU external borders that will be known as
“The European travel information authorization system”.

travelers have to obtain proper authorization before traveling to any EU states in which they have
to fill online application regarding their personal data, occupation details, health information and
information about their criminal history if any. After collecting this information it will be
compared with the host of security database before making decision about granting them
permission. After granting the permission it will be valid for 5 years or until their passport
expires.
Effect of Brexit on economic growth and development
According to (Partridge, 2017), brexit is providing disadvantage to UK as it will affect
the economic growth of UK. Brexit has provided advantage to Britain as there has been
increased in tourism in Britain due to UK which have attractive destination for tourism. It will
also impact on the exchange rate due to which different prices will be offered to tourist for
visiting to different places in EU and UK. According to the views of (Puscinska, 2018), tourism

attraction of people of the UK destinations. Exchange prices due to brexit has become low and
which has increased tourism number to UK and this shows that if the exchange price remains
like this then the Britain tourism industry will increase by 15 to 20% by Europe.
According to the views of (Freeden, 2017), 51.9% of voters have voted in favour of
leaving EU. Due to this market was effected rapidly. Due to the cheap prices offered by UK
travel and tourism companies which will increase the number of visitors to UK. This is the time
when Irish tourism can be innovative to increase number of tourist due to the effect of Brexit.
Travel and tourism companies in order to attract more tourist must implement the system of
online books to increase the number of tourist to their places.
Effect of Brexit on tourism industry
Britain post brexit will increase the value of tourism. It will increase the export earning
and also it will provide direct economic benefits to the local economy and diversifies the
economy from the dominance of London. According to the view (Veal, 2017), If the UK joins
the European economic area there world little change but if the UK enters only a free trade
agreement without free movement of persons of services it will affect the tourism industry.
Tourism from Europe to UK is more than double of the tourism of world. UK suffers from price
competitiveness which has pushed British hospitality association into a campaign to reduce VAT
for the industry.
In the views of (McIntosh and West, 2017), due to brexit UK travel and tourism in order
to employ citizens from EU states will become for difficult. Workers from EU states will subject

pound which has provided benefit to Britain and making it a most attractive place for destination
for foreign tourists and also has provided British holiday makers to stay at home. According to
the views of (McDougall, 2016), number of foreign visitors have increased by 2.7 % f in the
third quarter for Britain in 2017. Due to this Britain economy grown faster in third quarter.
Brexit has increased stay-cation for the locals of Britain and they prefer to travel in their
home country rather than going abroad for exploring new destinations. There are various places
in UK which most visited by tourists that consist of Cornwall , Highland etc. According to the

to reduction in number of workers from EU will have a great impact on the Britain tourism due
to which may companies will not be able to operate its various activities properly.
According to the (Van Rooyen, 2018), most of the travel companies have to buy and sell
currencies all the time and due to drop in pound which have its short term impact on cost of the
holiday rising and the profit margin are dropping . The uncertainty and political upheaval have
led to volatility in financial markets. The lower value of sterling will cause higher operating costs
for some businesses. Also, fuel and energy will become more expensive due to which air fares
will become higher. In the contrary, cost of travelers coming to UK will be lowers to attract more
tourist to the place and making it a most attractive place for tourism.
According to (Gartzou-Katsouyanni and et.al.,2018), many companies had indicated that
a decision to leave EU will have a negative impact on their business and for the economy of UK.
Also, businesses main plan for future and can take the advantage of new opportunities that will
arise. For airlines, the major consideration will be their access to EU 's single aviation market.
In the views of (Foscale, 2017), brexit has affected the Travel and tourism industry and
has increased number of tourist to UK due to its cheap prices for the holiday package. According
to travel trends report 2017 that the number of domestic holidays in UK increased to 714 % in
2016 which was 64 % in 2015. In its destination report , Barclays has shown increased popularity
of stay-cation due to which adults across Britain are choosing holiday closer to home after the
brexit implications. According to travel trends report 2017, it was found that early bookings for
overseas holidays for summer 2017 were 11% above last year's figures. Destination UK report
highlighted that around 60 % of the visitors were interested in UK.
ANALYSIS
From assessment, it has identified that Britain’s historic buildings and monuments, its
natural beauty, its culture etc are the reason which attract visitors to Britain. Brexit will provide
various new opportunities for employment and also will increase the number of tourism (Pappas,
2019). It can be presented from the evaluation that UK will be free from the regulation of EU in
which it charges higher mobile roaming charges for the tourist that visit there due to which their
expenses increases. UK attract various tourist by adopting various marketing strategies which
will assist increasing tourism to UK. Further, it can be discussed that the risk to tourism
following EU and trade negotiation will include food prices which would rise due to which
there will be great impact on the travels and tourism. Also, visitors from China are well known
