INTRODUCTION
Business communication plays vital role in organisation. It enable in effective sharing of
message with each other. There is a proper framework or procedure through which
communication is done. It is necessary as it allow in showing impact of communication on
business efficiency (Chang, 2019). The sender and receiver plays significant role in it. The
message sent must be clear and precise. Also, firm need to provide training to staff so that
communication is done properly.
The report will describe about what is good business communication. Also, how it can be
improved and elements of business communication. At last reflection is explained.
What is learned about business communication
I learned that what is business communication and how it helps in enhancing business
efficiency. Besides that, I learned what role it plays in business. I gained knowledge about
overall process of it and various components such as sender, message, feedback, etc. Moreover, I
leaned what are barriers in it and how it can be overcome. In addition, I got aware about
communication skills required that is written, public speaking, etc. in it along with
communication channels like face to face, mobile, etc. by which message can be sent to
audience. Thus, I gained a lot of knowledge from it that enhanced my knowledge.
How might you improve business communication
I found that there are various ways by which I can improve my communication. First is
that I can attend several training sessions related to it so that I learn how to do verbal and non
verbal communication. Also, I can improve my soft skills such as to listen carefully, learn
meaning of various body gestures, etc. moreover, I can watch TV shows by which I will get to
know how to use words, interact with others, etc. (Kudashov, and et.al., 2017) For example- I
can practice writing e mail by seeing samples from internet.
Elements of business communication
I analysed that as there are various elements of business communication so they all are
equally important. But the main are sender, receiver and channel. This is because I think decoder
and encoder are temporary as message is automatically encode and decoded. For instance- in e
mail there is no need of these two element. I realise that if there is no sender and receiver then
communication can not be done. However, in my view sometimes feedback is required as it state

whether message is delivered or not. Thus, it is also a crucial element in business
communication.
REFLECTION
Description – I did a project on business communication in which I write many things in it.
Then, I did a presentation of entire project. Besides, I gained a lot of knowledge about topic such
as process, skills, barrier, etc.
Feelings- I felt that I need to search on internet for obtaining more info about business
communication. This is because I think I write in very brief about each heading. So, I was not
satisfied with overall project. I must have written more about each heading (Jefferson, and
Anderson, 2017).
Evaluation – I evaluated that I lacked writing skills as I was not able to write more. Moreover, I
need to focus on my research skills by which I can easily search on internet and then prepare
report. The good thing was that I did my project in time. But bad was that I lacked some vital
skills by which my performance was hampered.
Analysis- I analysed that my performance was hampered as I wrote content very brief.
Furthermore, I did not included images into presentation by which it was not so attractive. I
prepare a schedule but did not follow it. Also, I noted down points but not included that in
presentation.
Conclusion- I could have research and analyse data in more depth. Also, I should have inserted
pictures in presentation to make it attractive. With this I would be able to create a good impact.
This can be helpful for me in my career growth as I would have learned how to make
presentation (Yang, Nie. and Luo, 2017).
Action plan- I would have develop a PDP in which I can identify my weak areas. Besides, I can
attend training session of it so that I can improve my presentation and research skills. This can
benefit me in my career. I learned how many things from it.
