Part one
Each and every company look forward to improving their services and activities that they
offer to get an increase in the income at the end of a given period. There are several ways in
which the journalistic culture of the Bloomberg company corporations might improve their
communication of the media professionals whom it employs. The Bloomberg Company
might study some of the characters of their employees. From this they are likely to come out
with a pattern on how to help them make some of the required improvements. The company
therefore should go ahead and listen to them, their opinions on how they want things to be
done and some of the needs that they require to be fulfilled by the company.
After considering all these, the company should therefore assist the professionals in
building connections and teamwork within their own newsrooms. This would really promote
unity within the employees because as always teamwork is meant to strengthen the relations
between the individuals working together. This would also increase the quality at which they
produce their news daily because they will be exploring their knowledge amongst themselves
that some might lack. The Bloomberg Company should also spend some time in building
close relationships with their employees to be able to know much that they might not have
known if they would have kept distance. The same way, the journalists should also take their
time and build relationships with some of the readers and the sources from which they get
their stories from. This would highly improve the communications in the company thus
increasing the profitability of the company.
The Bloomberg Company should work towards creating a timetable plan for the
professionals to do smart balancing in their time on the choices of the stories they pick and
the interactions with their audiences. In interacting with the audience, this will enable the
company to get immediate feedback of what people think about them and from this they will

be able to improve on their areas of weaknesses and at the same time build on their strengths.
The company should also take time and check on the use of some of the terms used by the
journalists. This is to ensure that they do not overuse the terms. There are also some out dated
that should be avoided. The company should play a bigger role in this so that they produce
better stories worldwide. This will improve the number of their audiences and profitability of
the company.
The company should work hard to exhibit broad curiosity for the professionals so as to be
advanced and get adapted to the new technology and the advanced platforms. This will assist
the journalists to gain much experience that is required from them as they will be able to get
many sources that are of interest to the public. The company should also encourage the
journalists to do more stories of good quality than before to be able to increase the
profitability of the company. The company should also look forward in expanding their
organisations by creating more and more branches in different countries so that they can
interchange their employees to have an experience from different parts of the world so as to
improve on their skills in writing and presenting the stories.
It is true that cultural differences might affect the degree to which individuals can comply
with the company’s corporate culture. Some cultures are so rigid that they need not to be
changed by anyone. Once you visit such communities one must be able to practice the
culture. This will lead to an easier way of getting accessed to the information that is required
from those who reside in that particular community. This might challenge the journalists as
they might find it difficult to move to such environments as it takes a lot of time to get into
the system and start the major activity that behind going to that place. Some cultures also
protect some of the information that they consider to be their secrets thus they find it hard to
disclose such information to the journalists.

The characteristics of the non-verbal behaviour that I can point which indicate how the
people feel about each other in the event include; facial expression, this is because I can see
the people talking to each other as they smile. This tries to show that whatever they are
discussing about is interesting thus the smiling faces. The second non-verbal behavior that I
can point out is the body movements of the people. I can see them lean towards each other,
some are bending down. This shows that they are trying to have conversations with one
another. Some are also using hand gestures to point to their neighbours what they are talking
about. Another non-verbal behaviour I can observe from the people is the posture at which
they are sitting. Some are bending law, some are sitting straight and some are leaning towards
the others as they converse.
The groups appear to be more comfortable in the zones as they are not showing any sign
of boredom. They are conversing as they laugh and others smile as they express happy faces.
This shows that they are comfortable in this zone and that they are not experiencing any
display of discomfort amidst them.
In a crowed like this there should not a personal space because this would require a lot of
resources to come up with such structure where by each person have their space? Instead
what should be put into consideration is the number of people that are expected to occupy the
space. Too much people are not expected as this would lead to overcrowding of the room and
others might lack where to sit on.
In the situations of the buses or lifts, the rules are likely to be broken because often a
number of times the buses or lifts are overloaded with people exceeding the space of the
buses and the lifts. To overcome the discomfort in such situations, there should be regulations
put to govern such places. For example in a lift, there should be a specific number of people

that are supposed to use the space available depending on the size of the ground space. There
should also be a CCTV camera put in place to monitor those who break the rules and to
ensure the required number of people enters the space. The same should be applied to the
buses.
It is true that the manner in which we organise and use space is a means of non-verbal
communication. Some of the examples of how this is practiced through body language, how
some spread the newspapers as they read amongst the people, headphones and grim
expressions. Some other examples of how people practice personal space through packing in
trains and buses for a journey. Through this the people are able to practice and know what a
personal space is. There are cultural differences about space. Every culture has a set of
hidden rules concerning the physical space of someone and that is why there are more
perceptions into what people from different countries expect from each other in terms of
space. For example the people in South American and Argentina expect a minimal personal
space than the people from Asia.
