Introduction
The main objective of this draft report is to generate and critically analyze an idea that could be
applied to set a phenomenon of developing a new website for the company as well as use of
Oracle database system by the company. Therefore, Macey needs this report so as to decide
whether this hypothesis holds. A new website using some recommended software and a database
system will highly assist the company. It is important to assert that a website is very important in
the present occurrence of any company. Through company website, a lot can be achieved. One
can be able to market the company through the website as well as attracting customers.
Therefore, this report is very important to Macey. On the same note, Oracle database system is
very secure and the company will no longer face the risk of data loss, unauthorized access to the
company’s system as well as threats posted by cyber-attacks.
Hypothesis.
Typically, a hypothesis is a mere guess. However, for the purpose of this report, statistically a
hypothesis refers to a statistical claim that have not been proved yet (Gaston, 2014). Therefore, a
hypothetical test need to be conducted so as to determine confidence level. This will assist
Macey in determining whether to accept or reject the hypothesis.
Null hypothesis.
Statistically it is denoted as H0.
H0: The Company need the new website and Oracle Database System in performing the daily
activities.
Result of null hypothesis.
The company need the new website so as to market the available products to all the potential
customers all over the globe. This will increase the company’s net worth as well as its publicity.
The company will become very popular thus attracting a wider market in the long run. The
company has faced a lot of data loss, data insecurity and unauthorized access in the past.
Therefore, the company need a solution once and for all. This can be achieved by using the
Oracle Database System. This database is secure, cost effective and high total security.
Therefore, Macey need to consider these two products for the betterment of the company.

Alternative hypothesis.
Statistically it is denoted as H1.
H1: The Company does not require a new website and a database system in performing the daily
activities.
Result of alternative hypothesis.
If the company does not employ the use of a new website, then the market will remain small and
the company will take much time to be known publicly. This means less income will still be
generated. Failure to use the Oracle database system means that the information and data of the
company are open to threats and manipulation.
Decision.
According to the finding in the hypothesis, I accept the null hypothesis and reject the alternative
hypothesis.
Importance of database system and a website to the
company.
The company website will be used as a marketing site and as a publicity site. The company will
be able to sell the products to potential customers with ease. The oracle database system will
help the company to secure its data from dangerous malpractices such as unauthorized access
and cyber-attacks.
Investigative technique.
This information was gathered from very reliable sources such as websites, books, tutorials
seminars and workshops attended. The world is turning technologically pro-active. This means
that these two items need to be applied in the company if a positive progress need to be observed
in the long run. This source has been used by other companies and right now they are counting
great results.
People and resources.
This project spotted several audience so as to portray its importance to the company. The first
cohort to be given the information is the employees of the company. 98% of the workers in the
company promised to support the program once Macey accept to initiate the use new website and
Oracle database system. Am sure the 2% will slowly adopt the system as the company will

achieve great results altogether. The resources needed for this program are laptops and personal
computers. Am sure the company will be in a position to secure them in due time. Also, some
money is needed to pay Oracle database administrator who wish to offer training on how the
database operate. Finally, the company also need to hire their own database administrator. For
the website, the company need to hire a networker who will be maintaining and managing the
network in the website.
Research technique.
To gather relevant data and information, the company will employ sample survey and
questionnaires so as to gain reasonable responses. All the research techniques used in this report
were well analyzed. The indicated a corresponding analysis and there resulted obtained from
them had a perfect positive correlation (Gioia, Corley & Hamilton, 2013). This all supported the
null hypothesis. However, for the purpose of this report, the technique that carried the day was
the questionnaire study. This draft report aims at discussing the outcome of questionnaire study.
Since the company had not started using database system and a website, the study involved few
employees of the company and more of the other individuals. The study did not involve
employee of some departments in questionnaire data collection. The study therefore focused on a
population of 886 outsiders and 34 employees of the company, summing to a population of 900
individuals.
Using the Yamane’s sample size formula,

The population under study being, N=900, and e = 0.05(5%)
Hence the above formula gave us our sample size to be n= 900
⌊ 1+900 ( 0.052 ) ⌋ = 276.923
This was approximately 277 individuals, hence the size of sample we needed.
From the sample size of 277 respondents, the study realized the following:

I. 54.17% of the respondents were male, while the remaining 45.83% were female.
II. 29.17% of the respondents were employees of this company, and the 70.83% being other
members of the public. Of the other members, 99.9% were positive on the use of database
system and the website, and this might have been caused by the great progress witnessed
in other companies.
III. Our study realized that the respondents who were supporting the program for the first
time were 196, giving a 70.83% of the total number of respondents. Those who had used
the website initially were 29.17%.
IV. 83.33% of the respondents had seen the benefits of using the database system against
those had not seen the benefits who were only 16.67%.
This simply shows that these two programs have great impact on the company progress in terms
of marketing, wealth creation and all the daily undertakings in the company. The graphs below
reflect the percentage of decisions made from questionnaires.

1. The company need to research on other software that can promote the growth of the
company.
2. The company need to empower the workers in skills and expertise needed so as to use the
database system and the website.
3. I recommend further study on how the company can improve efficiency, effectiveness in
the daily operations so as to generate more net worth.
Conclusion.
In conclusion, the main aim of this report is to generate an idea that could be applied to set a
scenario of developing a new website. With no fear of doubt or contradiction, I believe the
company will use the two applications so as to improve the performance of the company.
Therefore, Macey need this report so as to generate a new website using some recommended
software and a viable database system. It is important to assert that a website is very important in
the present occurrence of any company. Through company website, a lot can be achieved.
