includes listening, speaking, observing. It enables the individual to understand the feeling and
meaning of the message in a better way. Communication skill is an ability to convey information
or idea to the other person in effective manner. This skill is very important in day to day life and
help to boosting confidence and trust in the life. There are various skill which is essential for the
individual.
Teamwork skill – With this capability person understand how to work in the team, how
to enable to motivate the individual to share their ideas and innovation think in the team. Which
reduce the stress and tension and achieving individual and company goal.
Critical thinking – It is most important skill which help the individual to understand
better about their passion and goals (Kassenboehmer 2018). Critical thinking is the valuable skill
for the all individual because it increases problem solving skill, team skill, creativity, innovation.
Planning and research skill - This skill require for searching new thing and planning
for same project. To accomplish certain work task, it helps individual to come up with suitable
strategy and plan of action . This could involve seeking information from various sources.
Interpersonal relationship skill- It helps the individual, to boosting their social and
mental being health. Interpersonal relationship skill help the person to engage with other
positively, increase the ability to make comfortable for individual presence, increase the ability
to manage conflict and manage issue.
Listening skill – This skill is important for individual, because it will give knowledge

feeling, thought and emotion (Koponen, 2019) . This skill helps the individual to feel confident
and assertive in life. It helps to the students to reduce misunderstanding and decrease the number
of challenges face by the individual. This skill helps them to make and keep good friends, have
good relationship with other person such as family, member, friends. It also improve daily
function and reduce stress which is leads to lots of mental health.

workplace and the personal lives.
It is one of the most important and generic skill that are essential for the higher education
students. Although generic skill encompasses several elements which is important especially
during the process of seeking job. Generally communication is a process of exchanging
information from one person to another, giving information through verbal and non-verbal
method. The process of communication generally involve four elements which are the speaker,
receiver, communication channels and feedback (Putri, 2021). Well development of
communication are vital for higher students and all level of education, they must be able to
communicate effectively. Without developed this skill, the students face the risk of falling
behind their peer or becoming overwhelmed or withdrawn at school.
Successful communication can increase deepen relation in personal and school life. In
personal life they can understand better to the people and situation that happen in the daily basis.
Developing this skill can help the students to avoid conflicts compromise and help them to take
better decision for the future. Developing this skill improve the student image, decision-making
skill, teamwork in the class. Good communication enable the higher education students to
receive and send negative or heavy message without any irritation and disruption of trust
(Roztocki, 2019).
This skill helps the students to keep motivating and engage in the class. Good

Ways in which collaborating with peer help to develop effective communication skill
Face to face communication with peer helped me to improving my communication skill. I was
learned from them how to understand the meaning of message, that gave me ability to convey
information to other person in an effective an efficient manner. I was learned different
techniques which help to develop my confidence and reduced conflict or misinterpretation.
Collaboration with the peer was help me to choose right medium that set instant messaging or
recognition platform.
That was encouraged me to communicate and acknowledged one anther. Speaking with
peer was help me to speck, listen, articulate, understand what they talked about, with the help of

this I able to improve my presence of mine. It was improved my the brain capability and memory
(Ruswanto, 2018). I was able to improve attention and able to respond in the particular situation.
I was learned from focusing on non-verbal signals that was help to prevent miscommunication. I
was practised with my peer that was the best method for developing my communication skill.
That way helped me to clearly anticipate the person feeling, what they want to say to me . I was
continuously communicating with the peer and in the groups helped me to develop my
communication skill . I was debated with my peers that was increasing my vocabulary and
communication skill. That all this method help me to improving my communication skill .
