The main reason behind focusing on effective communication skill in health and social
care service is in relation to minimising death rate of people. The patient always hesitate to
define their health related issue. In this way due to lack of communication the death rate is
increasing. The main rational behind undertaking this Assignment is to develop good
communication between patients and medical professional. In this manner they can provide the
best treatment and expectation of client can be satisfied. In manner to improve effective
connection one need to provide training session to new staff. The Communication plays
significant role in the health care sector. With the help of appropriate coordination, confusions
related to roles and responsibilities among medical professionals can be minimized

The term communication refer as exchanging of information from one person to another.
Effective communication plays significant role in health care organizations. It supports in
providing quality treatment to patients. Present study will explain significance of effective
communication in culturally safe health care environment.

Significance of effective communication in culturally safe healthcare
According to Phillips, Carr & Teal, (2005) has stated that good health care quality means
to providing effective services in appropriate manner with good communication leads to shared
decision making and culture sensitivity. The effective connection is very important in relation to
health care field. In this manner to build strong relationship between medical care professional
and their client there is need to take steps in order to improve communication. With the help of
this they can frankly speak their problem and Medical care professionals find it easy to do their
proper treatment. Phillips, Carr & Teal, (2005) Has said that health care professionals listen them
carefully and give effective solution to their problem. In this manner there can promote culturally
safe environment at healthcare organisation. The medical team work in manner to follow proper
communication principals which empower them to have good connection with patients.

manner to satisfy the patient satisfaction. To cure there health problem in effectively manner it is
very necessary to understand them, listen them and provide good quality of service this all are

communication help in manner to enhance client satisfaction and health outcome or give more

secure environment. Communication plays significant role in the health care sector. With the
help of appropriate coordination confusions related to roles and responsibilities among medical
professionals can be minimized. That supports in treating the patients well in the care homes.

each other and develop bonding among them. That will support them in developing trust of care
users and understanding their medical issues. By this way they will be able to provided them
quality services that can help in minimizing death rate.
Factors that create problem in effective communication
The factor in relation to create problem are as culture, socio economic, gender in
equality, personality and behaviours of person. According to Braithwaite, Iedema& Jorm,
(2007) has referred that the factor which can influence the communication skills between
behavioural. Sometimes the choice of words used by endorse in manner to send message will
affect the quality of communication.

behind having good communication are as it helps the person to feel safe and secure, allows the

Ways to improve communications in health care sector
Training- In manner to improve effective connection one need to provide training
session to new staff. In this manner they can have about communication principals.
Higher authorities should give training staffing members regarding policies, legislation so
that individual can understand working culture of the place and can work accordingly. It
will help in minimizing confusions and errors Exter, (2008). By this way new staff will
be able to coordinate well with others as well. With the help of good method of training
staff can improvise his skills and abilities and method of communication can be strong.
Developing trust: Whenever new staff come in hospital then higher authorities are
required to develop trust of the person so that individual can feel comfortable in the
hospital and can coordinate well with others.

Meeting- By establish personal meeting with senior staff the individual can learn better
and effective methods of communication. They can guide them in proper manner and
define various instruction in manner to improve language, tone and content of statement.
Feedback- In health care of organisation it is necessary to keep monitoring their
performance and health care professionals Braithwaite, Iedema& Jorm, (2007). To
receive timely feedback on the activity ensure to take effective steps in relation to lacking
points of health service sector. With the help of client feedback they can take provide
effective training to their new staff.
CONCLUSION
The term effective communication means passing of information from one person to
another with proper information. In healthy care organisation it is very essential to maintaining
good connection between health care professional and clients in order to provide proper
treatment. If medical staff behave properly with them than client can share his problem related to
health without any hesitation. It leads to feel then safe and secure. In this project the various
objective are been addresses as significance, various factors and ways to overcome such issue.
The main behind making this project is to understand terms in relation to effective
