Mr fishy company to develop and grow. Organisation wants the employees to communicate
effectively. While conducting a meeting many barriers has been faced in the communication
process. The barriers include noise, semantic problems etc. Noise is common barrier between all
the organisation. It states about interfering communication between the two individuals or it
prevents the individual from hearing the sound easily, like in the factory due to noise of the
machines managers are facing difficulty in oral communication. (Murray, 2019). Sematic proble
has also been faced as it is problem which occures while presenting views in words and
expressions. Oral and written communication are based on employee words and mind of the
receiver or sender. Cultural barriers, wrong assumptions and socio logical barriers also have
impact on the effective communication of the organisation (Bano, Zowghi, and Sarkissian,
2016).
However one barrier which has been experienced is lack of planning by the organisation
to manage their operations. Planning is the essential part for running organisation effectively.
Planning needs communication and communication need to be done in a carefully planned
manner, so that other employees cannot miss-interpret or miscommunicate. There are various
examples of the employees of the companies who miss-interpret the past message from the other
employee.
PRINCIPLES OF EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION
Clarity in ideas – The point itself indicates the clarity, for example in the company Mr Fishy
various employees work and employees have clarity in the ideas while communicating the plans.
It is mandatory for the top management of organisation to pass right information to the
employees in a detailed manner so that employees of an organisation are clear with their roles
and responsibilities.
Appropriate language – Communication has to be done in the appropriate language and simple
language. Ideas or messages have to be conveyed to the employee without any doubt. Different

the message. For instance if the employee is not attentive during the communication propcess
then it might affect the way in which plan has to be executed. (Veletsianos, Reich, and Pasquini,
2016).
Proper time – Late messages is useless and meaningless. Communication has to be done on
time when there is actual need. In the company, managers want details information but if these
details are provided at wrong time then these details are of no use. So in order to pass the
information in correct time the the employer and top management should know the importance
of time and also should have knowledge of appropriate time when message has to be conveyed.
(PRINCIPLES OF EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION, 2019). The main purpose behind effective
communication within Mr Fishy is to support the business operations and also to ensure that the
message is conveyed to the right audience. Effective communication will help Mr Fishy to create
a team of motivated employees which will help organisation to accomplish its goals.
Feedback – Feedback needs to be provided by the receiver so that the messages sent have been
understood by the receiver. Through feedbacks one can know about their strength and weakness
of the product. Feedbacks are usually given by the customers. In oral communication feedback is
obtained through facial expressions and in written communication through emails.
Proper medium – Proper medium is needed for the organisation to work, for example managers
of the company can use the oral communication for an individual whereas for projects and policy
matters one can use written communication.
Informality – Formal as well as informal communication is important for the organisation.
Some problems need formal communication while other need informal communications. For
example planning cannot be done through informal communication, planning needs to be done
with the team work and suggestions of the employees. All these principles are the strategies for
overcoming the challenges and barriers of the effective organisation communication (Caputo and
Evangelista, 2018).

enactment, selection and retention. Mr Fishy divides the departments on the basis of the
information and enacted to change provided information (Wyer Jr, 2019).

coordinate with the department so that the information provided is analysed and updated
accordingly.

satisfaction, mix of skills. In the group no one dependent on each other as well as they learn
things with the employees.
Content – Oral communication is different from the written communication as well as context.
