INTRODUCTION
Communication skills are the ability when giving and using the different types of information.
The skills mainly involve listening, speaking, observing, and empathizing. These skills are very
important for understanding the information available more accurately and quickly. The effective
group communication skills is mainly based on the mutual understanding and respect between
the individuals. It is two-way process, which encourages the idea and the environment of
communication with my classmates and develops the style for continuously evolving and
developing the better group communication environment.
This report will discuss my strengths and weaknesses in the group communication skills and also
examining the examples of the communication being generated in the class.
MAIN BODY
Communication skills is the ability to one and give proper ideas and thoughts which is
entirely understood and received by the individuals. These skills have helped me In
understanding and helps in ensuring better participation in the class (Käfer and et,al., 2018).
Communication is an act of acting, giving, receiving and sharing information in other words
talking and listening or reading. It is very essential for the leaner to have good communication as
it enables them to listen carefully, speak and write with respect their different opinions. For a
group communication is the most essential aspect to their growth. It helps the team members to
grow collaboration in their practices which are considered to be essential in the management of
the group practices. The different types of communication which are used in the
communicational practices are considered to be the following,
VERBAL COMMUNICATION :
It is the use of words for conveying the messages which are helpful for communicating in
the written and oral communication. This is that type of communication which allows the
individual to express their feelings, thoughts in an oral format. Such communication is also of
different types,
Intrapersonal communication :
It is the private form of communication in which communication is restricted to a certain
person. For example, when two individuals involve their roles as sender and receiver for
processing their thoughts and actions.

It is form of communication which is helpful for taking place between the two individuals
which is helpful for one on one communication in which the communication is made in a clarity
and roles of sender and receiver are also swapped (Jünger and Fähnrich, 2020).
Small group communication :
In this communication there are mostly more than two people which are involved as the
number of people are small each participant are allowed to interact and make their conversation
with the rest. Generally such sort of communication are based on certain topic and having
differences in perspectives can lead into conflicts.
Public Communication :
This is that communication which helps the large gathering of people to be addressed by
on individual. Example of such communication is election campaigns and public speeches.
NON VERBAL COMMUNICATION
Non verbal communication is the type of communication which involves different types
of non-verbal communication which includes the facial expressions, gestures, paralinguistics
such as loudness or tone of voice. It allows in an individual to communication through body
language, personal space, eye gazing, haptics and appearance. In the non-verbal communication
different types of physical signs are used for understanding or explaining the understanding of
concept. For example, the expressions made by the customers can help the sales person to
understand how effective the sales strategy of the organization has been in convincing the
customers.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATION
Written communication is the sending of messages, orders of instructions which is
provided through different types of letter, circulars, manuals reports for the telegrams which
offers bulletins for the formal method of communication it is considered to be less flexible. The
different types of written communication are,
Transactional:
This is the communication which takes place in the form of emails, instant messages,
invoices, short memos, forms and letters (Kaufman and et,al., 2018). It is used for day to day use
of general short communication which requires direct actions from the leader.
Persuasive :

It is the written communication which is very commonly used for including persuasive
content. It is the goal which is provided as the reader with a unique value proposition about the
business. This is essential for the encouragement of the response. For example ads, brochures,
press releases, emails and newsletters.
Informational :
It is very common type of communication in which the informational material is provided
with a reference to the record of specific areas of business (Jain, Dongariya and Verma, 2017). It
helps the individual in communicating with the inclusion of quarterly financial reports, essential
for meeting minutes, employee handbook and also informational content.
Instructional :
The goal of this communication is to provide a step by step detail to how the completion
of specific task which could be result of transactional or persuasive content. Examples of such
communication is clear and direct short sentences which are in chronological order.
VISUAL COMMUNICATION
It is the practice in which utilization of the visual elements is essential for communication
of the information and ideas. In such communication animated, GIFs, screenshots, videos, pie
chart and infographics are used for slide deck presentation. This type of communication also
includes the projector slides in which multiple people are communicated, blackboard and white
board is a form of visual communication which provides effective communication in classes.
Videos are known to be a very popular form of communication in the modern world as it
explains the introduction of the group oriented topics with ease (Different Forms of Visual
Communication, 2021). There are other forms of visual communication such as the slide
presentation, paper handouts and printed documents.
Communication is of different types and features which enables the group in
understanding the impacts of the evidence which is given in reading the examples essential for
the class and its forums. As a group the most used communication is the verbal communication
as in this two or more people communicate their thoughts and perspectives for the individual
learning and be a crucial element to the various sequence of the logical steps. Written
communication is also very effective for the group as it is a form of communication which can
be recorded for future references. It allows the group in development of relevancy of their
discussion.

It is highly essential to have significant amount of communication process in turn better

In order to improve the visual communication method, it is recommended to have
appropriate and modern design of pictures, etc. so that relevant insight can be obtained.
Simplifying the visual graphics can permit the other person to get the appropriate amount
of the details in turn having significant level of information for meeting particular
purpose can become possible. The main reason behind applying this particular kind of
improvement so that higher effective outcomes can be derived.
The writing communication can be modified by executing significant amount of practice.
In this specific kind of communication it is essential to provide clarity and transparency
so that actual thought written on the paper can be understood by the reader. Continuous
practice can he helpful in achieving this objective. It can permit to identify the prevailing
lacking areas in turn making significant level of improvement can be done.
It is suggested to concentrate on thinking before speaking, understanding audience,
formulating sentence, etc. so that accurate words that are respectful and helpful can be
derived. Verbal is one of the significant method that is highly required in day to day life.
In educational career as well having appropriate verbal communication is essential as it in
presentation, speech for competition, etc. kind of activities there is requirement of it.
In order to improve the non-verbal communication it is highly advised to focus on
gaining the proper information is provided by the person. It is as well suggested to the
person to maintain the open body position, having relevant level of eye contact, etc. so
that proper respectful and good atmosphere of communication can be developed. For
gaining success in the working scenario it is largely suggested to concentrate on gaining
proper extent of non-verbal communication.
CONCLUSION
With the help of this project it can be concluded that communication has the potential of
improving the collaborative practices an individual experiences in the group. Communication is
highly significant in order to get the success in the current competitive environment. It is highly
