INTRODUCTION
Organizational communication consists of all kinds of communication which allows an
organization to function, grow, connect, and also contribute to the society. This project will talk
about how utilization of website for organizational communication. In this project the purpose
and principles of organizational communication are explained. It also explains the challenges
faced by organization in effective communication. This project helps with strategies for
overcoming the barriers of communication. The application to principles of effective
communication is discussed. It also explains the culture effect of culture over communication.
MAIN BODY
Analysis and discussion
In an organization communication is very necessary as it has important purpose in the
organization. The organizational communication helps an organization to complete the task
related to the specified role and responsibilities related to the sales, services, production and also
management. It makes the operations of the organization more creative and also improves the
adaptation quality of the employees. With the help of organizational communication the
organizations completes tasks in a maintained policy and procedures or regulation (Ghazali and
Nizam Shahrul Isha, 2017).
The principles of organization are the understanding that can enhance leadership skills
and lead for increasing the productivity. The principles of formal communication are,
Formal Communication :
This is that way of communication which is used in most of the organization as a formal
way of communication. This way of communication delineates the chain of command and the
flow of communication.
Informal communication :
This sort of communication occurs naturally and uses the unconsciously within the
organization on a daily basis. This sort of communication helps in the transfer of information
between the employees.
Interpersonal communication :
This type of communication helps in increasing the importance of the telecommunication

The barriers of effective communication are,
Dissatisfaction :
When the employees are not happy they tent to lose interest in their jobs. In such scenario
the employees giving and receiving ends. This barrier is considered to be very difficult to be
overcome as it involves the changes in mindset.
Inability to listen to Others :
In an organization listening is considered to be very important for every aspect of the
communication. It makes it easy for the employees to engage with others so that they can listen
to them because of making certain assumption.
Lack of transparency & Trust :
Due to the lack of trust in the employees with the management the communication is
disturbed in the organization. It creates conflicts in the organization (Mawarni, 2018).
Communication styles :
The style of communication between the people become a barrier to the communication
of the organization. Some people are very direct about certain things were are some like to use
more indirect approach.
Conflicts :
Conflicts takes place in an organization for many reasons. Conflict needs to be resolved
in the organization as it will hamper the communication and also the relationship between the
employees.
Cultural and language differences :
People in an organization can have different cultural background and in certain cases the
employees may also speak different languages which results in lack of communication.
For overcoming the barriers of communication in an organization the following strategies
can be utilized (Meisenbach, 2017).
Non verbal communication strategies :
According to this strategy an individual can improve their communication in the
organization by being aware of their own body language, by maintaining a formal posture, by

controlling over the voice tone and also maintaining proper eye contact during the
communication.
Active listening strategies :
In this strategy the organization can improve the communication by requesting the
employees feedback reveal their issues, this will improve the relationship and also allow the
company to understand the opinion of the person. By the utilization of reactive comments the
people communicating knows and understands that the person is listening to the employee. It is
also very important for an individual to understand that interrupting someone when they are
speaking can hamper the organizational communication. It also helpful for the communication
that the employees focus on what the people are saying (Meisenbach, 2017).
Verbal communication strategies :
In this strategy the organization is suggested to have little to no distraction in the
premises were the communication takes place. It is important for the employees to participate in
the public speaking so that their communication is effective. Communication is improved when
the employees are also expressing along with communicating.
For the establishment of effective communication in an organization it can follow and
apply the following principles,
Goal :
It is very important to determine a goal for the organization for doing in the terms of
communication. Without any sort of achievement the is very difficult for the employee to
understand the consequence of the communication activities (Murphy, 2017).
Listening :
Listening is very important for the establishment of good communication as
communication is never a task of an individual it works both ways.
Clear :
For good communication an individual needs to express themselves clearly such that
others can understand the importance of the individual.
Being persuasive :
Good communication can be achieved by sounding persuasive which makes the its more
effective in more ways than one.

following are the ways in which differences in the culture affects the communication.
Different style of communication :
People with different background and language are present in the organization which
have different culture in between them. These differences in culture make the individuals speak
in different way. Style of communication also gives rise to differentiation in the organization
(Philipps, 2020).
Different attitude regarding conflict :
The differences in the culture of the individual changes their behaviour towards the
conflicts. People with different culture have different methods of solving conflicts. Solving
conflicts is very important for the organizational communication.
Different ways of completing tasks :
The differences in the culture also affects the approach of the people for completing their
tasks in the organization. This affects the communication process in the organization as the ways
of completing task develops an idea and people with different ideas find it difficult to cooperate
with each other.
RECCOMENDATION
For improving the organization communication, organizations can utilize the different
social internet services which will allow the employees to connect outside of the workplace. This
will improve the relationship between the organization. Some of these platforms are, Facebook,
twitter and also Instagram. The organization can also improve their communication by providing
a more private atmosphere to the organization which will help the individuals in developing
positive feel in their work atmosphere which acts as a catalyst to good and effective
communication. Large scale organizations faces the issues of communication when as the
distance between the two departments can be high. For such issues the organization can take the
help of online video conferencing which is an effective way of establishing communication with
people from with a great distance. It saves a lot of time money of the people and also the
organization. As discussed above in the analysis that the cultural differences among the people
are responsible for issues of communication (Sumiati and Nikmah, 2020). In such scenarios the
organization can influence the individuals by prioritizing the culture of the organization over rest
of the culture in order to be creative in all the aspects of the organization. It is important for the

With the help of this project it can be concluded that organizational communication is
very important in an organization. In this project the purpose of the organizational
communication is analysed. This project helps with the identification of the common challenges
which have effective communication in their management. In this project the strategies for
improving the communication in the organization is discussed. This project provides the
principles of effective communication for enhancing the practice of their application. In this
project the communication practices on the individuals is discussed with emphasis in two-way
communication. This project helps the culture influences and also their communication.
