Improved Financial stability
Greater sense of workers empowerment
Enhanced business revenue, leading to enhanced worker pay.

Surging positive culture relied on achievement.
Why does financial motivation work ?
Financial incentives motivates workers as well as let them know what they stand for in
order to loose or gain relied on their performance. Such type of incentive is tangible for the staff
members enabling them to better provides for their own and their family members in order to
improves their lifestyle.
Why do employees/ Employers favour financial method?
When employers pay their employees well as well as offers them financial incentives for

3 Disadvantage of financial motivation
Inconsistency
This is main drawback of it as sometimes business may suffer loss due to which rewards and
benefits given are less. Thus, when rewards given are less than it will directly impact on
employee performance. Also, they feel they have worked very hard.
Team work-
It is also a drawback as financial motivation because rewards and benefits given are for
individual rather than team work. So, it can an inhibit teamwork because they often reward

Moreover, if there is not proper hygiene then this motivation will not work. Along with it,
rewards given are on individual basis so it affect team work.
Example- company offering $100 as reward to all employees but due to decline in profits reward
provided are $80.
Why do employees reject this method
Sometimes, employee reject this method as they want to focus on other thing such as
work life balance, flexibility, health, etc. thus, they do not take rewards. Besides, there is no
equal distribution of benefits as it is given on basis of individual performance. Besides that, it
hampers team work as well. Therefore, due to that, employees reject this method.
4.Second method of motivation
Fear motivation
It is a type of motivation in which there occurs an internal process of moving yourself
away from what employees don’t want. in this fear is a powerful tool of motivator as it makes
employee uncomfortable and they move away from their comfort zone. They are motivated
against their will in order to do work and achieve goals. For example fear of losing job what
getting fired from it will automatically encourage them to put more efforts and work in effective
way.
Theory behind it
In this the theory behind is theory X and Y. it was proposed by Douglas McGregor in 1960 it
states that there are two aspects of human behavior at work. this means that there are two views
of employees at work. When is negative known as X and another is positive known as theory Y.
Theory X believe that employees are naturally unmotivated and dislike working. so it encourage
authoritarian style of management. besides that, the three X workers are in small size but exist in
every organization. There are several assumptions as well of it
Employees resist change
They dislike responsibilities
They do not want to work. So it requires a close supervision of manager.
For example if employees does not achieve sale target of 100 units then they will lost their job

It is better than financial motivation because here cost is saved and also it develops a
feeling of fear among employees to work effectively every time. besides that, it motivates other
employees as well as they think they will also lose their job if goals are not achieved.
Furthermore by having close supervision managers are able to find out performance of each
employee and how they can be motivated.
5.Third method of motivation:
Intrinsic motivation
It is a type of motivation in which a person engage in behavior because he finds it
rewarding. This behavior arises within individual as it naturally satisfy him. There is no intention
of reverse behind intrinsic motivation. For instance, recognition achievement etc are some type
of intrinsic motivation.
Herzberg two factor theory – this theory was proposed by herzberg in which he stated that
there are some factors that results in both satisfaction and dissatisfaction. So, he said that
opposite of satisfaction is no satisfaction and of dissatisfaction is no dissatisfaction. Thus, the
two factors are
Hygiene factors- they are those which are necessary to motivate staff at workplace but
satisfaction is not for long term. If they are absent it leads to dissatisfaction. In this the factors
are pay, company policy, working environment, etc.
Hygiene factors in this there are various factors which exist at workplace. they are as follows
Company policies The policies must not be two rigid. it must be clear and fair that includes
flexible working hours,
Fringe benefits the staff must be given fringe benefits such as health benefits
Working condition the workplace should be neat and clean and safe.
Motivational factors they are those factors which increase employee to improve their
performance. They are
Motivational factors- they are those factors which encourage staff to increase their performance
so it is known as satisfiers. It is useful in performing job and provide long term satisfaction to
them. They are recognition, achievement, etc.
Recognition staff must be recognize for their achievement.
Growth opportunities the organization must provide equal growth opportunities to all
employees.

Goal setting- These are the theories that can be implied through setting higher goals as well as
objectives as it can motivates the staff members to completed their goals.
For example recognizing an employee for selling 200 units in one month.
This motivation is better than financial because employees are self motivated they do not
require any other thing. Also there is change in their behaviour as well. Also it saves company
cost as they do not have to give any rewards. Self motivation is better than any type of
motivation. Also, employee is engaged in those activities which they find it satisfying.
6.CONCLUSION
From the above it had been concluded that some best forms of the best forms of the
motivation better than others are known as extrinsic motivation as it focuses on the reward
instead of the action. The methods have the worst impact on motivation are Lower business
performance, lower individual productivity, poor work quality and many more. Report also
focused on Herzberg two factor theories stated that results in both satisfaction and
dissatisfaction. Hygiene factors leads to dissatisfaction, company policy, working environment.
Motivational factors encourage staff to increase their performance and Goal setting motivates the
staff members to completed their goals
