At present Leadership is considered as backbone of every business because it offers them
required competencies which are essential for their survival in the present world. Leadership is a
belief that keep the employee motivated towards high end goal which are essential for the
development of the organization. Leadership is actually a process which offers leaders an
opportunity to create a positive and innovative work environment in the work place by
connecting goals of the organization with the development of the employee (Hoch et al., 2018).
In this leadership role, one of the most important position is CEO position because this position
is considered responsible for the overall performance of the organization. CEO understand the
present business environment and tries to explore the new opportunities which can offer
competitive advantage to the organization over other organizations operating in the business
market.
In future I would like to take position of CEO in one of the best multinational companies of the
world. I would like to take this position because it is one of the most challenging position in the
organizational setting along with lot of roles and responsibilities which are beyond the role of
managers. At CEO leadership position, I would like to play role of both entrepreneur as well as
vision conveyer for all the stakeholders (Garcia-Granero et al., 2018). Attaining CEO leadership
position is not everyone’s cup of tea, it requires lot of dedication, innovative skills and specific
traits which are not common in every individuals. Every effective leader have their unique traits
which keep them matchless from others and contributes towards their success. Three most
important traits of an effective leaders are passion, clear mindset and believe in others (Yuan et
al., 2019). At present, I believe that I lack all these traits in me due to various experience. I often
feel confused towards my passion and keep on switching from one to another without
understanding what I really want in life. I often try to flow with the market choice so that I can
prove myself to others. In most of the cases I have seen that while working in team I always
believe that I other performance will impact my performance and therefore I never liked to work
in a team. I also believe that I am able to perform better as compared to working in team. I have
seen that I often gets motivated from other and change my decision. In simple words I do not
have a clear mind set towards my decision which usually impact my confidence. In order to
attain the position of CEO, I am in immediate need of improves these traits because these traits
actually governs the complete leadership style which is the key of success in this dynamic
business environment. Passion trait is important because I helps the individual to explore the new
opportunity which are present in the business world in hidden form (Ashby, 2018). Passion helps
the individual to create a new market for their innovative product. One of the best example is
Mark Zuckerberg, this young leaders had a passion to develop a social platform which will be
able to connect people with each other on the global level in the form of Facebook. Clear
mindset trait is important because it offers a clear direction to the individual so that individual
can plan their strategy accordingly in order to lower down the possible risk associated with their
business decisions (Kyvik, 2018). Without clear mind set individual will just revolve around the
objective but will not be able to make it. One of the best example is Amazon, if Jeff Bezos had
not a clear mind set for his objective then he will not bale to transform his online book store in to
one of the biggest retail e-commerce company on the global level. Believe in others character is
important because role and responsibility of CEO or person sitting on any managerial level are
vast and it is not possible for them to handle every single responsibility (Ogbonnaya, Tillman

and Gonzalez, 2018). In this situation, they have to believe in their employees for their business
decision. One of the best example is Elon Musk, if Elon Musk just keep on pushing his ideas in
the organization then dream of fully electric operated luxury car was impossible. His believe in
designers, engineers and other team members has moved Tesla Company towards one of the
most innovative car company in the automobile industry. In other to improve these traits I will
develop a strategic plan for 6 months.

1-2 months I will study biography of various effective
leaders. I will also explore various research
conduct on passion. I will discuss my passion
with my mentor in order to understand gap
between reality and my expectation.
Mindset
2-4 months I will stop comparing myself with other. I will
focus on SMART goals. I will start gathering
information related to my goal in order to
increase my knowledge.
Believe in others
4-6 months I will participant in all the activities in the
campus and outside the campus which are
associated with the team work. It will offer me
opportunity to understand other individuals in
order to create trust environment.
Due to heavy competition in the business world, role of leadership has become very essential for
the growth and development of the organizations. In addition, it has become very important for
the individuals to adopt new skills and traits which are important from leadership point of view.
Effective leader is one who is having a clear minds set about their vision, believe in others and
are passionate about their work. In order to develop these traits it is very essential that we must
have a clear vision towards our goal so that we can plan over strategy as per the requirement of
the situation. At present I lack these traits but have developed a 6 month development plan in
order to improve my leadership position.
