Effective Leadership.
Description
Effective leadership is whereby one leads, redefines, and improves an organization’s
vision and establish its character and culture. The leader secures the right resources, checks, and
rectify errors, also creates and plans for the organization. One motivates a group to work together
and be accountable for each other towards attaining a particular set goal. It is the crucial thing for
an operative organization as it deploys development and progression. It is mostly depicted when
the organization is rising and can easily maintain its position of being on a scale of success. The
organization can identify its market rise and ways its customers are fluctuating (Leithwood and
Azah, 2016). To enhance effective leadership, leaders should be well trained and equipped with
leadership skills. These leaders also require a sound support system to run the organization well
and exploit their potential.
Leadership behaviors are attributes that an effective leader possess and influences the
team with productivity. They guard us with these behaviors and set an expectation for our
performance (Demirtas and Akdogan, 2015). There at times exists a big difference between the
rewarded leadership behavior and the expected leadership behavior. This comes when a leader
exceeds the expectations. This is advantageous to me as;
It encourages me to be innovative- The leaders subject us to trying to figure out matters in so
many viewpoints. They train us through questioning, networking, observing, and experimenting
on the need for being creative.
It builds my trust- The leaders take actions such as being transparent, consistent, and involving
the juniors to earn their respect. This helps me learn that to be a successful leader, and one has to
undertake activities that make it easy for their subordinates to work with.

It grounds me in integrity and ethics- they act as the primary baseline of a successful leader.
They induce my consistency in highly adhering to professional morals and values.
Develops my accountability skills and desire to inspire others- Leaders have the ambition to
motivate people and engage them in the bigger picture of something better. They inspire us by
presenting great ideas with detailed research on them and offers us the chance to give our view
on them.
Being a good team player- Leaders help their teams achieve and grow as they act as both tutors
and teachers in the aim of accomplishing the objectives. They understand every one of us, helps
us discover our abilities and strengths that can bring mutual benefits. They allow us to improve
on what we can do best. This helps me adapt to working along with people.
To be an effective leader, one must possess some characters and attributes. They include;
Learns to lead by example.
The leaders act as the mirrors and role models to all their teams. They conduct their activities
similar to what they direct them to do. All staff members look out to them.
Decisive and goal-oriented.
They lay down objectives and provide possible ways in which they can be achieved. They focus
on accomplishing them by designing plans and identifying effective strategies. They tend not to
divert much attention on the problems but instead look on the bigger picture of solutions. They
prioritize those that need immediate consideration and are most important. They are also
observant on the timeframes and make well-versed decisions that bring substantial effects to the
organization growth and productivity.

Master of communication
A leader must have excellent communication skills whereby they influentially and plainly
express their strategies and ideas and are excellent listeners with open minds. They allow
interactive sessions creating an interactive platform of the generation of ideas. This provides a
unique working area for all.
Responsible
In case things go wrong in the organization, they hold themselves accountable and are ready to
face the consequences. They avoid blame games and pointing out fingers earning respect,
loyalty, and trust of those under them.
Assertive and a risk taker.
A leader is always ready to face challenges and any hindrances without losing sight of what they
are planning to achieve. They can identify and point out issues affecting the organization
negatively in reality and what is expected of their members towards attainability (Galperin and
Alamuri, 2017). They draft new projects and shares them for review with those teams.
