1LEARNING STRATEGY
If you could only use ONE of the learning strategies which would it be and
why?
The ONE learning strategy followed by every successful student is the scheduling of
tasks and perfect time management. A successful student not only actively participates in the
class and follows the learning modules but also focuses on other aspects such as discipline
and managing time. The most important aspect of becoming a successful online learner is to
make a routine of the daily activities and squeeze in a sufficient amount of time for the online
classes in that specific routine (Greening, Middleton and Gersbach 2017, July). Students tend
to get distracted to watching movies, playing games and other recreational activities.
According to Park (2017), if they makes a planner for themselves and follows it accordingly,
they will be successful in their progress of learning.
How do you intend to use this learning strategy yourself? Please be specific
by giving us examples.
As a student, if I have to be successful as an online learner, I will have to attend the
classes consistently every day and make progress stepwise. However, this consistency can be
implemented if only I make a planner for myself and schedule my activities accordingly in
that planner. Even though I have my skill sets and no matter how much talented I am, if I do
not have a planning of my own on how to progress with my learning modules, I will not be
successful in improving my knowledge. Hence, I plan to learn from the online classes for two
hours at a stretch for six days in a week and keep half an hour for practising the exercises on
it. On the seventh day, I plan to take the online test such that I can assess about my learning
and make further progress on it.
