REFLECTION
To deliver effectual group presentation being a member I have undertaken several
initiatives. Hence, several strategies have framed by me with the motive to deliver presentation
in an effectual way. Effective co-ordination and communication is the key which in turn helps in
delivering the group presentation in the best possible way. Moreover, in the absence of effective
communication there is duplication of work. Hence, primarily we have decided the topic of
group presentation and allocated topic to each individual. Moreover, without making proper
delegation of roles and responsibilities it is not possible for the group to present assigned topic in
an effectual way. Moreover, group presentation includes several aspects such as collection of
information, formatting, preparation of notes etc. Hence, by considering strategy in to the
delegation of roles has been employed.
However, during this, we faced conflicting situation because each individual placed
emphasis on the selection of topic according to their own desire. In this regard, the main problem
is co-ordination that faced by me during the whole presentation. Hence, I need to improve my
skills in relation to developing high level of co-ordination. For improving my skills in relation to
such area I will participate in the role play activities or sessions. This in turn enables me in
enhancing skills and competency level in relation to the aspect that how to deal with the different
kinds of people. Along with this, role play activity helps in understanding the manner in which
cohesiveness can be developed among the team members. Moreover, in the role play activity
each individual is assigned with different roles and responsibilities (Siu, Maran and Paterson-
Brown, 2016). Hence, such activity will help me in the mindset of individuals and thereby assist
in dealing with them more effectively and efficiently.
I will also review the books and journals to get theoretical understanding regarding the
manner through which effective co-ordination can be built or maintained. Further, to facilitate
effective communication regarding the accomplishment of work we have conducted video
conferencing. Such strategy has been employed with the aim to prepare presentation within the
specified time frame. However, on the critical note, it can be stated that technical errors highly
influence such strategy and thereby overall outcome. Moreover, for video conferencing better
connectivity is highly required. In the absence of this, team members are not in position to

communicate with each other. Hence, I have learnt from such group presentation that timely
organization of meeting is highly required to ensure better communication. Along with this, I
have also assessed that at the time of delivering presentation there is a lack of confidence level.
This in turn closely influences the effectiveness of presentation. Hence, for developing my skills
in relation to such area I will attend seminars and conferences. Moreover, conferences and
seminars offer opportunity to share views and suggestions with each other. It also enables
individual to speak up in front of the large number of people and thereby build confidence level.
Further, I will also attend workshops which in turn provide deeper insight to me regarding
listening and speaking skills. Hence, by improving the skills in such areas I would become able
to deliver effective presentation in the near future.
Besides this, there are several difficulties are facing by me because my English was not
highly good. Further, I have included big words in the presentation which in turn created
problem in front of me regarding delivery etc. I also forgot some words at the time of giving
presentation which in turn closely influences the effectiveness of it. Hence, for making
improvement in my skills regarding such area I will attend workshops and other classes to learn
the manner in relation to speaking English with high fluency (Sandorf, Aanesen and Navrud,
2017). Along with this, in presentation, one individual failed to present his part due to accident.
Hence, immediately we had done preparation of his part which in turn created difficulty in front
of us. Thus, for avoiding such kind of difficulties I need to ensure that each and every slide is
clear to everyone. Hence, by following such aspects I would become able to deliver effective
presentation.
Along with this, from self-evaluation or analysis, it has been assessed that I am lacking
in the technical area. Moreover, for doing proper formatting of presentation knowledge regarding
the functions of power point is highly required. Without having proper knowledge, it is not
possible for me to prepare highly attractive presentation. Hence, for enhancing my skills
regarding such aspect I will attend workshops. Moreover, workshops provide helps in improving
the proficiency level through the means of both theoretical and practical knowledge. In addition
to this, I will also place emphasis on internet surfing for improving my knowledge regarding the
technical aspect. Besides this, to deliver better presentation we have presented it in front of our
friends with the motive to assess deficiencies. The reason behind using such approach is to avoid

mistakes in the near future. Hence, by developing my skills in relation to co-ordination,
communication and technical aspects I would become able to present an effectual presentation.
Hence, by considering the above aspects it can be stated that self reflection or analysis helps
offer opportunity to build up proficiency level in different areas.
