Recruitment and selection are important functions of every organisation. It is very
important for every company to have an effective recruitment and selection as this will help in
hiring new candidates that will help in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.
Recruitment is defines as the process for identifying and making people to apply for jobs in the
company (Noe and et.al., 2017). In context of Corinthia Hotel, this hotel sector ensure that staff
employed by the management of this organisation must be so effective that a good customer
experience is provided to guests. This will help in building the reputation and good image of the
company in market. The research given below is based on the “Employee selection”. The aim,
objectives and research question of this research are given below -

internal and external and now a day interviews are conducted online. Any management of the
company revolves around recruitment and failure in recruitment may leads to difficulties and
barrier issues for the company. There other approaches to selection which includes several group
task, role play, interview etc. Selection of right candidate for the right job is necessary part of the
HR, recruitments are basically done through interviews and setting certain parameters. The
management of the company have to set some polices and rules and regulations with concern
with employees, Because for every employees there should be goals and targets so that they can
work hard to make the organisation in success (Rothwell, Hohne and King, 2018). For the
company employees are the asset so the main duties of HR is make the working environment
motivated. Company has to focus on the recruitment process then only skilled employees and

person has the required qualifications which a company wants. Online screening and shortlisting
are two important ways of the selection process (Chang and et.al., 2015). There are basically two
ways of online applications in an organisation i.e. application through email or through applicant
tracking system. Application is sent to the organisation and the application of candidates is
handled by filtering the candidates . The initial screening of candidates depends on assessment of
experience and qualifications of employees against requirement of job. The online system filters
the online application automatically. This helps hotel to find best candidates who can work
effectively in the company. The online screening is helpful for company when there is bulk of
applicants. A structures interview is the most effective way for hiring staff. This is a two
communication process and this helps to analyse the behaviour and capabilities of an individual
effectively (Stone And et.al., 2015). The interview consists of personal and conceptual questions
that will help in analysing the ability and skill of individual. An interview is appropriate way to
select the best person who can meet the requirements of the organisation. There is a panel of

the recruitment and selection process of the company. Thus it is important for companies to hire
best candidates and reduce the rate of profitability and efficiency. In context of hospitality sector,
it is important for the company to hire skilled staff which will help in meeting the requirements
of customers and people in less time. If the company will be having an effective selection criteria
then it will be easy for company to perform better.

that there are mainly two methods through which organisation can improve their performance
