INTRODUCTION
• After conducting research, it is necessary to disseminate research findings to
initiate the desired course or direction of change.
• Disseminating research findings is essential due to:
1. Enhancing research related collaborations
2. Obtaining feedback
3. Makes it able to apprise research interests
4. Facilitates communication of results to diverse collaborators.

STRATEGIES TO DISSEMINATE RESEARCH
FINDINGS
• According to different studies, some of the notable or proposed strategies that
can be used to disseminate research findings are as follows:
1. Publications in Journals
2. Policy briefs
3. Presentations in meeting at state and national level
• The type of strategy depends on the target audience, costs and nature of the
results.

PUBLICATIONS IN JOURNALS
• Publication of my research findings in journals is the other strategy that I feel is
conducive.
Challenges
• It is a costly strategy.
Rationale.
• Easier to replicate or conduct a similar study.
• It covers a wide audience through online access
• Rigorous peer review leads to enhanced or reliable and valid results (Melnyk et
al,2011).

POLICY BRIEFS
• It is basically a summarized document with research findings and
recommendations
• However, the biggest challenge with using this strategy is that not all
individuals can comprehend research findings (Brownson, Colditz & Proctor,
2017).
Rationale
• It is a summary of the main concepts.
• Quicker way of relaying results.
• It is slightly a cheap option.

PRESENTATION IN MEETINGS
• The other important strategy that I can use is presentation through
meetings with relevant stakeholders.

• There is direct interaction among stakeholders.
• It further improves the reliability and validity of the research findings
(Tripathy et al,2017).

CONCLUSION
• In conclusion, dissemination of research findings is a critical step that
determines the success of any research project. It is therefore
imperative that all researchers get acquainted with different strategies
that can be used to disseminate research findings such as policy briefs
and presentation in meetings.
