Summarise the given article
The article from the times education supplements states about the increasing needs for the
lifelong learning which may avoid the university. There are mainly four reasons are mentioned to
why government needs to make sure that the universities are effectively contributing towards the
lifelong learning and educations. The first one is enhancing the capabilities to think creatively
and imaginatively so that students will be able to learn new technologies and increase
productivity, another one is develop critical thinking among the students so that they can learn
how to learn things. Third reason mentioned is the collaboration between the employers and the
universities this will be profitable for both the parties. The last one is that the learning should be
taught as a lifelong process as the with changing environment and the changing jobs the
individual needs to continuously involve themselves in the learning process so as to deal with the
changes effectively. The business organisation needs to understand the importance of learning
and needs to positively invest in learning partnership also government needs to government
needs to develop essential strategy in order to promote such partnership.

Good teachers can change student’s life and can bring essential difference in his or her
life, a teacher is someone who motivates and develop his students for the lifelong success. Some
of the central qualities or traits that makes an effective teacher are as follow:
Strong communication skills: One of the most essential qualities that an teacher has is
having strong communication skills, he has the ability to communicate his ideas and motivate or
influence his students towards their career goals.
Good Listening skills: Another quality that teacher has is the good listening ability, they
listen to their students and try to solve their problems.
Have patience: An effective teacher always have great level of patience when it comes to
handling their students, they handle the problems effectively.
Life long learner: Another quality that makes an effective teacher is his ability of being a
lifelong learner, a teacher is always ready to learn new things throughout his life.

Ability to adapt easily: The last quality that an teacher has is the ability to easily adapt to
the changing environment and handle the changes effectively.

Analyse which teaching method would be most useful in teaching your subject specialism and
why?
The teaching method that would be most effective in teaching my subject specialism
would be teacher centred methods, under this method the teacher himself teaches the subject as
being the expert in that particular area. Under this method the teacher is being considered as the
expert of the particular area, whereas the learner is being considered as the taker of the
knowledge and information given by the teacher. In my case i think this teaching method will be
best suitable as i will be able to get the direct knowledge from the teacher himself who is being
the expert of that particular area, it will also help in enhancing my knowledge and skills and
building my confidence level. This method will also allow me to directly interact with the
teachers and clear my doubts directly. This type of method involves full support and involvement
of the teachers in the teaching process making it easier for the students to interact and
communicate with the teachers, this will allow me to enhance my skills effectively and
efficiently.
