The leader should also listen to the grievances of the team members and value their output.
Furthermore, effective leadership involves the ability to appreciate individual contributions and
quickly deal with problems as they arise among the group members.
Even though the team members may have defined roles and responsibilities, flexibility is
a significant facilitator of effective team performance. It is vital for the team members to
acknowledge the fact that tasks and roles are not rigid. The team members who are willing to
cross their positions and work collaboratively with their colleagues are likely to promote
effective team performance when compared to group members who are rigid in their area of
specialization.
Diversity is also a significant facilitator of effective group performance. The members of the
team should empress diversity in thoughts, skills, and experience (Akron, Feinblit, Hareli &
Tzafrir, 2016). Impressing diversity among the tea members generates new and inventive
strategies for completion of tasks assigned. A team is always effective when it impresses new
solutions to the available problems.
