INTRODUCTION
Effective team work and communication is one of the important aspects for every
business organization to established positive work environment at workplace. With the help of
this, employee can easily interact with their each other and attain set goals and objectives in
appropriate time frame (Mitchell and Golden, 2012). In addition of this, communication affects
the overall teamwork in both positive and negative way. Thus it is important for employees to
effectively communicate in order to share positive and healthy relation with others. By this all
the team work can be done in systematic manner. Present report is based on Nuffield Health,
which is a non profit health care organization in UK. Report also discussed about workplace
communication and employer performance within the organization.
TASK
Communication refer to the way of exchanging as well as conveying information from
one person to another by using symbols signs and many more. In a team work, it play vital role
in sharing as well as developing positive relation with all the team members. This will directly
increase overall performance of the team and organization as well. In this context, good
communication support team to work well together. If communication is poor between employer
and employees than unnecessary issues and anxiety can be arises. Thus, it is important for leader
to encourage as well as motivate their team members to clearly communicate with each other as
also tries to build better coordination when working together. This will increase the chances of
attaining positive outcomes at workplace. In context of Nuffield Health, it is important duty of
employer to having good communication skills so that they easily make positive relation with
their team members. Along with this, they also understand about how to communicate well
with employees at workplace. By this, they run all the operations and activities in most
appropriate manner. In a team work, employer is responsible for effectively communicate with
their staff members (O'leary and et. al. 2012). In this context there are some ways which should
be used by employer to communicate with team members:
Having one to one interactions: It is important way for employer to one to one
interactions with every team members to improve employee engagement at workplace. In this
leader is also responsible for determining their needs and expectations in order to maximize their
potential. This will contribute in improving their performance level.

Encourage two way feedback : It is an important communication in which receiver
provides feedback to the sender which help in reducing the arising any kind of issues among
them. It is important for employer to maintain two way communication with their staff members
at workplace (Russ and et. al.,2013). In this feedback is also played important role in improving
chances of attaining positive outcomes. For attaining the favourable results, employer needs to
give opportunity to workers to present their concern so that they can easily provide them better
solution. In this, two way feedbacks is important sign of communication that help team
members to improve effective communication and productivity as well.
Show appreciation: It is also crucial for employer to tell workers that they are important
for business organization. With the help of this, employer can easily encourage workers morale
at workplace. For example, leader of Nuffield Health appreciate their staff member by
communicating and congratulating them towards their ideas and views. This will directly
contribute in enhancing motivation level of the team members at work place.
Carry out team building activities: It is one of the important way to enhance productivity
level of the team working. Mainly, it also supports team members and employer to communicate
better which contribute in building positive relationship. For example, if employer carry out the
activities like group meetings, outdoor activities to collaborate than they easily enhance the
positive communication which help in attaining desirable goals and objectives.
Promote communication and collaboration: If employer is able to collaborate with their
team members that they eventually able to communicate better. With the assistance of this,
company promote diverse skills. For example, leader communicates with employees and shares

communicate with employees which may reduce the chances of arising issues among workers.

tries to share positive ideas. By this they can make positive work environment in a team and also
improve the chances of attaining positive outcomes.
Furthermore, all these theory of communication can help employer to effectively
communicate at workplace. With the assistance of this, they also share positive relation with all
the team members that directly contribute in enhancing the productivity level of workers and
company as well (West, 2012).
Apart from this, workplace communication and performance of employees also plays
important role in business organization to enhance overall productivity level. In this employer of
Nuffield Health is responsible for establishing positive work environment by communicating
with their team members. If communication is poor then team performance is also reduced at
workplace that negatively impact on their employee performance. For example, if information is
not transferred in right way than it negatively impact on the workers productivity level. Along
with this, task and activities can be incomplete (Wong and et. al., 2016). By this goals of this

the workplace is also important that may increased performance of the staff members. As it
increase workers morale that positively impact on retention rate of the employees. In this context
there are some important ways that help in improving workplace communication and employee
performance as well. All these can be understood by following points:
Less misunderstanding: In organization, when the information is not effectively
transferred to the employees that it create misunderstanding among employer and
employees at workplace. The main reason behind this is lack of effective communication
at workplace. Thus, it is important for employer to create effective ways to communicate
with their team members so that they can easily share their ideas with team members so
that they can easily improve heir participation in organization activities. For example , if
employer of company clearly communicate with their employees about task and goals
than they reduce the chances of arising issues between each others.
Empowerment and transparency: effective communication also improve the productivity
level with the assistance of empowerment at workplace. In case, if team members have
lots of information than they will feel more empowered to effectively execute their task
and activities with more confidence. Along with this they also mote motivated towards
their task and activities. This will directly contribute in enhancing employees morale at
workplace. Furthermore, transparency is also an effective way to make workers more
productive in which employer motivate them towards the allotted task so that they easily

on the overall performance of the workers at workplace. Thus, it is important for
employer to interact with their staff members and also understand their issues in order to
