The objective of effective goal setting is to attain the desired goal in an effective manner.
The goals must be attainable, measurable, realistic, specific and timely. Setting goals and
managing time are two important techniques to achieve success and have a positive relationship
between them. Time management gives the employee the required motivation to achieve the
goals, provides all the information that is needed to meet the goals within the set period and
increase job performance (Aeon & Aquinis, 2017). Employees are less likely to waste time and
easily manage work and increase their productivity. An organization that focuses on goal setting
and time management is more effective.
Answer 2:
Implementing time management and organizing skills helps in achieving goals
effectively. Managing time is a core skill of the employees (Kmecova, 2019). To achieve their
goals on time one must start early, have a plan on how to proceed, schedule their work according
to the deadline and must keep some time in hand for unforeseen circumstances. Scheduling work
and making a timetable reduces stress and increases energy. Managing work gives a feeling of
self-control and boosts productivity. Currently, I schedule my work, set deadlines for my work
and try to start early. Adopting such strategies help me in completing the task on time, keep my
mind clear and be creative throughout the day.

Scheduling the work does give a sense of calm and assurance of completing the task on
time; however, it is not always possible to start early. In that case, accepting some other
strategies to manage time and organize work becomes necessary. Fine-tuning of organizational

skills is a strategy that I would like to work on in future. Locating a misplaced item by arranging
the files in an alphabetical order and having a master list or record of all the files in a single place
would save time. Another strategy would be to organize task according to the body clock, as it
would help in increasing productivity.

Here is an instance of how I was able to manage my time and ensured that my work was
done efficiently. Before starting a project, I prepared a list of information that I needed for
accomplishing that job, and then I scheduled a day for completing a particular task. I went on
about my work on a daily basis according to my set target. I was able to deliver my task on time
and with quality for which I was complimented. This strategy improved my job performance and
reduced stress.
