Introduction
Malaria has been and still continues to be one of the most dangerous diseases in the world. It
affects both children and adults but quite dangerous when it affects children below the age of
5 years. In many countries both developed and developing countries, malaria has proved to be
an infection which gives the medics a sleepless night (Ashraf, Fink & Weil, 2010). Medical
research on the causes of malaria records that it is transmitted when a female mosquito
Anopheles bites a person. However, developing countries have experienced severe effects of
malaria than developed countries (Ruiz, P., et.al, 2014). The effect of malaria is evident with
the high mortality rates of children under the age of 5 years especially in developing
countries. It is due to this pandemic effect of malaria that this paper will highlight certain
problems that have been faced by developing countries ("David Reddy: delivery of new anti-
malaria drugs to developing countries is vital in the fight against the disease", 2015). Many
developing countries have therefore put many different strategies to fight the malaria
infection and to reduce or to completely eliminate it. These developing countries have faced
numerous challenges that have been brought by effects of malaria (Weathers, 2014). This has
therefore made the leadership of these countries come up with programs and policies aimed at
reducing the effects of malaria and also to reduce the mortality rates caused by the infection.

SUBJECT: IMMUNIZATION OF CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 5 YEARS FOR
MALARIAL INFECTION
All health workers are hereby informed that there will be an immunization exercise to be held
in the whole district for children under the age of 5 years.
Therefore, the communication department has been instructed to inform the public through
available media.
In connection to this, the health workers are requested to prepare for the exercise will begin
on the third week of February (February, 23rd 2019).
The local health management heads are asked to produce at least 3 health workers to carry
out this exercise which will take one week.
The drugs and other materials will be provided to the health workers who will be out in the
field.
Finally, transport will be facilitated and allowances will be given to the participating health
workers.

Malaria is one of the dangerous bacterial diseases affecting many families in the entire world.
Many developing countries have been on the high receiving end when it comes to mortality
rates caused by bacteria (Tongo, Falade, Ogunkunle & Orimadegun, 2010). There have been
many drugs recommended or malaria, but some of these drugs may not effectively work. In
this connection, other methods of dealing with the disease have been invented to combat
malaria (Ostera, 2011). These strategies range from fighting malaria through fumigation of
mosquitoes to carrying out immunization programs.
Referring to the fact that malaria is posing a lot of threat to our country and with the
upcoming immunization exercise, we need to inform the public through the community
agency (the district commissioner). The following letter is addressed to the district
commissioner to reach out to the community and inform them about the forthcoming
exercise.
However, developing countries have experienced severe effects of malaria than developed
countries. The effect of malaria is evident with the high mortality rates of children under the
age of 5 years especially in developing countries. It is due to this pandemic effect of malaria
that this paper will highlight certain problems that have been faced by developing countries
