HISTORY 2
Egypt
The Kings and gods usually occupy Egyptian’s world where the king considered as the
present God on the earth while the ancestors were considered the god with supreme powers.
Every King was considered the god after their death. As Egypt was divided into various
constituencies, every constituency has their own God who were considered resident Gods. These
gods has their symbols similar to animals or other creatures. In the spiritual culture of Egypt,
kings were the active participants in the Egyptian society on whom all the power rests while
Gods were the passive participants (Campbell-Kelly and Martin). Only kings performed various
rituals that were related to the spiritual culture on various occasions. These practices believed to
be quite beneficial for the prosperity of the society. Between the king and God, priests used to be
the meditating element that helped in the facilitation of the spiritual practices. Besides the
practices of the spiritual healing, the practices of the future predication were also performed with
the help of omens and divination.
Egyptian was a scribal cultural where the literacy became prominent among the
commoners through various high-class write-ups. The literacy helped the upper class to record
their experiences and various skills that were helpful to their future generation to learn from
them.
Egyptian society was considered one of prosperous society on globe that was marked by
agrarian surpluses, population growth, elaborate belief system and splendor. The land and other
beneficial properties were used to be under the control of state as private ownership was
prohibited. The state controlled the taxation of all the products and was responsible for deciding

Ancient China culture
The ancient Chinese society is known to be originated around the yellow river where the
Chinese supported agricultural activities. In the region, there were natural borders of river and
agriculture that helped the emperor secure their area of reign in the most effective manner. the
northern part of China has hot summers and very cold winters that made the Chinese population
concentrated towards the plain area thus making the agricultural the most important part of their
life (Dr. Elizabeth).
Around 5000BCE, basins around the yellow river were constructed that were named as
yellow and Yangzi river basins that supported the cultivation in the most effective manner as it
provided the water to most of the areas (Halsted). Moreover, the water from the basins were
helpful in construction of big cities around the river thus leading to the development of ancient
Chinese civilization.
Areas around Yellow river of Northern china marked the origin of Neolithic culture that
was evidenced through various artifacts that were found by the archeologists. These artifacts
pointed towards the Neolithic culture practiced by the Chinese population there. While in the
southern region, the cultivation of rice marked the new developments thus leading the china into
the profitable trade of rice across the globe (Campbell-Kelly and Martin).
