Certified Health IT Product List
The ONC Certified Health IT Product List or CHPL is a comprehensive and authoritative
list of Health Information Technology products, which have been certified and tested in the
Health Information Technology Certification Program regulated by The Office of the National
Coordinator for Health IT or ONC.
ONC assembles information that has been submitted from the Authorized Certification
Bodies by ONC (ONC-ACBs) for generating a public, comprehensive and centralized list of
health IT products that is certified, that is the CHPL. The CHPL as well allow the hospitals and
health care providers to give rise to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Electronic
Health Record (EHR) Certification IDs for use in the CMS EHR Incentive Program and some
additional programs of CMS (Marcotte et al., 2012).
