Introduction
Elective caesarean is a surgical procedure where incisions are being done through the
mother’s womb and abdomen for delivering single or more child1. Due to the introduction of
modern technology in the medical sector, in the current scenario, most of the mothers are
preferring the caesarean procedure in order to avoid the pain. In the current scenario, the
medical experts are suggesting not to take caesarean procedure for avoiding the maternal
death.in this study, the issues regarding C section have been discussed.
Background of caesarean procedure
The caesarean section was introduced in Rome when a mother was dying during the
childbirth. The tern Caesar comes from the name of Julius Caesar, because she was the first
child born by caesarean section2.
Issues occur due to an Elective caesarean procedure
 Maternal death during childbirth increases.
 Some of the babies delivered prematurely3
 Babies face breathing problems
 During the surgery babies are being cut by mistake

Although during the surgery the pain is not being realized by the mother, after
the surgery when the mothers start getting the sense, the pain starts increasing. It
affects the mother's health for long time. Due to this kind of major surgery mothers
lose the ability for carrying heavy weight for their whole life.
 Mothers sometimes also face the problem regarding breastfeeding the child
Sometimes mothers face the failure to remove breast milk after the surgery,
which brings lots of pain for he mother. Sometimes due to the stress of surgery,
supply of breast milk decreases.
 Due to lack of proper attention sometimes different infection affects the mothers’
health
Sometimes during the surgery, different particles are being left by the doctor
in the mother’s womb. This can be hair or any other particles like cotton or anything.
This increases the chances of infection which occurs within one month after the
delivery. This can bring the death of the patient.
 The elective caesarean procedure also reduces the chances of pregnancy for the
next time
Due to surgical procedure the chances of hysterectomy increases, which
increases the further chances of surgeries. Hence, this can be said that due to this
complication the further chances of pregnancy decreases.

Where is the C-section needed?
In the case of multiple births, C-section plays an important role, because in the
vaginal birth planned caesarean section, during the birth of multiple children, mothers get
tired to push the baby. In this situation, the complication occurs in the babies' health. On the
other hand, in the case of the improper position of the baby, C-section is considered as the
only effective way to deal with the situation. However, these cases are very rare.
The elective caesarean procedure should be banned
In the current scenario, C-section surgery is being done for financial advantages.
There are few doctors who are using it as the way of gaining profit6. On the other hand, the
study has discussed that there are various disadvantages for this kind of practices in both the
case of mother and child's health. Therefore, this can be said that in the case of delivery,
people should prefer the vaginal birth caesarean section; because this procedure is safer. On
the other hand, due to the development of medical industry, various instrument and medicine
have been introduced, which helps to reduce the pain during vaginal birth caesarean section.

Conclusion
In the above study, this can be concluded that C-section has the higher level of bad
impact on human life. Not only during the surgery, but also the effect of this practice lasts for
a long time. Both the mother and babies are being harmed due to this. Therefore, this Elective
caesarean surgical procedure should be banned. However, the study has also said the
importance of this practices in few situations. Therefore, this can be suggested that the
Elective caesarean is a surgical procedure should be banned and it should be allowed in
emergency cases.
