Introduction
The study describes my experience during the process of creation of a business plan with my
colleagues. The plan designed by my team and me was about an electric taxi company in
Romania. The study reflects my feelings and experience during the entire lifecycle of the
business interaction project. The study describes my positive and negative experiences
throughout the project. The study describes my experience faced during presentation of the
business plan. The study also reflects how I felt after the successful completion of the
presentation. The study also elaborates the skills and knowledge gained during the process of
the project. The overall process helped to enhance my latent skills and the same are
elaborated in the reflective report. The report with the help of the Gibb’s model of Reflection
focuses to elaborate my overall experience.

The Experience
I was part of a group that was responsible for presenting a business plan by generating a
business idea that was conceptualised. My team members consisted of three Romanian girls –
Diana, Irina, and me. We discussed about the idea of introducing an electric car service in the
streets of Romania, Cluj-Napoca. We conducted group discussion at the house of our team
leader Irina on weekends. We also did our work together whenever we used to get time apart
from our studies and other fields of activities. We spent days trying to find the most effective
idea to realise our plan, which took a lot of research and other studies. When we finally got a
grasp of our idea, we started creating a business plan to formulate our projections and create
an effective strategy that is profitable and implementable realistically.
During the group discussions, my skills of communication and teamwork came of utmost
importance to me. In order to communicate with my team members, I had to communicate
my ideas to them effectively so that my viewpoints are clearly understandable by them. I
presented my ideas and my words not do confuse statements in a concise and easy to grasp
manner so that everyone understands them perfectly and do not get confused (Liu et al.,
2019). We also honed our time management skills as we set dates that described when we
would meet. We conducted our work on a set period so that we would understand the concept
of working under a deadline and force ourselves to follow a strict schedule to increase our
time management skills (Mohammed et al., 2015).
Extensive research was done on the topic of discussion so that we could be able to construct
the best possible business plan for effectively realising our aims and objectives. We
researched thoroughly on the topic, taking references from books, journals, articles, and
relevant websites. It was made sure that the scholarly references were accurate and highly
relevant to our field if research, so that legit and published data can be provided in our work
(Brock et al., 2017).
The work that was done by us regarding the business plan was done with incorporating our
creative ideas that we have formulated as a team. In this situation, we strengthened our team
working skills so that all three of us can work together as a team. We tried to incorporate the
importance of teamwork, where we would take decisions regarding our work together, after
everyone on the team has approved on a certain point. Everyone’s inputs are incorporated in
our business plan so that a concise plan can be drawn, that includes the different perspectives

and different viewpoints. Our plan is structured in a way that allowed us to include our
varying viewpoints in a concise manner so that the overall objectives of the business plan are
effectively realised. The making of this business plan allowed us to extend our research skills
and critical thinking skills so that no part of the business plan is incoherent and the best
actions possible are provided and explained in our plan.

Reflective Observation
After we finished creating the business plan, I carefully analysed what we have done until
now and how we proceeded to do it. After making necessary judgments, I concluded that the
work that we have done is of high quality and realised the fact that it has been done carefully,
effectively utilising all our skills and talents.
There are things that I believe I have achieved during the course of this project, that include
my communication skill to speak fluent English. I was not that good in speaking English
fluently before, which made my shy to speak English publicly or in a group. Since the three
of us were together in this project, I was flustered at first because none of us knew each other
that we before we did the project together. We also did not have anything in common, as we
were from different cultural and ethnical backgrounds. Still, we tried our best to work
together and conduct research together. With my teammates, I was able to commit myself to
speak better English. I made many grammatical mistakes and spoke bad English in front of
them, which made me embarrassed at myself first. Soon enough, my English speaking and
writing skills became better as my other two teammates rectified all my mistakes that I have
made. This allowed me to learn from my mistakes and make necessary corrections in my
English speaking skills, which helped me get better.
Initially we did not agree on many things, which led to arguments and conflicts between us.
This negativity was more transparent between us because we started conducting our project
very late. We started on our first assignment just one week before the deadline, therefore
having less time to conduct activities. We hurried all our activities so that we can finish the
work by the deadline. In this process, we made many mistakes in our work, especially silly
mistakes. Many mathematical calculations in our business plan were done in the wrong way
as we made many silly mistakes in the process. The week that we took to complete our
project has been hectic for all of us, forcing ourselves to work und pressure to achieve same
goals. Initially, I was disappointed in the teamwork that was being conducted by us as we
made many mistakes. We were also not that familiar with each other, which led to disputes
being raised due to our ineffectiveness.

Conceptualisation
In order to link my reflection to theory, Gibbs Reflective Cycle will be used to explain the
process of reflection. Gibbs Reflective Cycle has six phases, which are described below:
Description
My teammates and I conducted a project that required us to create a business plan. We
created the plan based on the idea of introducing a new electric taxi service in Romania, Cluj-
Napoca. The project was completed in a hurried state as we started the assignment one week
before deadline. We had to make an in-depth business plan that effectively realised our goals.
We were using Microsoft PowerPoint to illustrate our presentation of the business plan.
Feelings
I was happy with the fact that the work was completed in time and I got the opportunities to
improve my skills regarding speaking, reading, and writing English. I was unhappy over the
fact that the work took longer than expected ass we had made many mistakes in our work,
most of them being silly. I also had many arguments with my teammates, as we were not able
to conduct the work in the same footing at various situations. The arguments decreased the
efficiency and research quality of the presentation. The main problem that we faced was to
align our individual objectives with the goal of the presentation.
Evaluation
The group presentation that was allocated was based on the introduction of new automobile
technologies in Romania. The group presentation requires proper collaboration among the
members to execute an efficient project. However, the role that was allocated to me was the
role of leadership. Initially, the main problem I faced was the leadership role and allocating
the work to the other members of my team. I could not establish a sense of authority in the
team, as they were my colleagues. However, with the help of Gibb’s model of Reflective
cycle, I was able to evaluate the various problems that I faced. The model enabled me to
describe the scenario that I faced and was able to chalk out the solutions. I evaluated that to
establish proper cooperation in the group, it was required for me exercise transformational
leadership. The transformational leadership helped me to enhance my relationship with the
other members of the group (Wain, 2017).

In addition, I was able to understand all the other members on a personal level. Moreover, it
was possible for me identify the responsibility that I had to play in the group. I evaluated that
my responsibility was to increase the motivation level of all the members in the group. For
this, it was important for me to communicate with others. This further helped me to
understand the various skills and abilities of the individuals, which helped me to assign the
specific jobs. This increased the efficiency of the work. Further, by understanding my role, I
was able to fairly judge all the scenarios that took place during the evaluation of the group
project. This project helped me develop on a personal level and increased my experience.
This further helped me to enhance my leadership skills (Brock et al., 2017).

Active Extermination
The project was a very enriching experience for me, which helped me gain a coherent
experience of the professional skill that I need to endure in my life. The entire life cycle of
the project report has helped me to analyse my professional skills and helped me identify that
I need to incorporate more professionalism in my functioning. I have been very emotional
towards my work, which has hampered my professional as well as personal life on several
instances. The project report of developing a business plan to launch electric taxi in Romania
has helped me to learn from my peers that professionalism in terms of business activities is
compulsory and enhances the overall productivity of the project. By having a professional
approach towards the project has taught me to raise my suggestions and concerns in a more
prompt and effective manner (Smith, 2016).
The project has helped me to analyse my inheriting communication skills, which were
subdued due to my emotional approach. I have learnt that I need to be less emotional and
push my peers to enhance their productivity. The emotional and lenient approach is not
beneficial for my professional career. I also learnt that in the future I should not shy away
from sharing my opinion towards an activity to enhance the overall prospect of the project.
The overall experience has entailed me to learn from my experience to develop my skills to
deliver better and more effective results in my future endeavours. The skills and knowledge
acquired through the entire lifecycle of the business plan project is going to be cherished and
help me to deliver my professional best throughout my future professional career. The
experience has is not only going to enrich my professional life but also bring about a
discipline in my personal life. This overall experience for the project has been very fruitful
for me and helped me enhance my future prospects (Wight et al., 2016).
