SBM1300 Research Project: Electric Vehicle Impact in NSW

This research proposal investigates the impact of electric vehicles (EVs) on the transportation management system in New South Wales (NSW), specifically focusing on Sydney's logistics. The study aims to understand the influence of EVs on the NSW transportation system, describe the main purposes for which EVs are used, and examine their effects on supply chain logistics. The research employs an exploratory research design with a deductive approach, utilizing a realism and pragmatism research philosophy. Data collection methods include secondary data from literature reviews and primary data through surveys and interviews with industry professionals. Quantitative methods, including SPSS and Excel for correlation analysis, are used to analyze the data. The research addresses the research gap by providing data on EVs in logistics management and adopts a quantitative approach. The study also addresses ethical considerations such as full disclosure, confidentiality, and transparency. The research questions explore the reasons for EV adoption and their effect on logistics, with the findings expected to support companies in implementing EV policies and improving sustainability practices. The study uses references from recent scholarly articles to support its claims. The research is a part of the SBM1300 Research Project, which focuses on research methodology and data analysis important for business and project management.
