(i)
The following equivalent of synchronous generator has shown in figure 1a.
R-Resistance.
Xs-Synchronous reactance.
The short transmission line has shown in figure 1b.

The length of the short transmission line has small so that capacitance effect has
neglected. Therefore the circuit is shown in figure1a and figures 1b, both look like
the same.

ASSUMPTION:
A) The following load has connected parallel, therefore these loads are
operating with constant voltage and frequency.
B) The two electrical loads connected in single line diagram (SLD) and these
loads are the radial and continuous power supply.
C) The following circuit has neglected the resistance and reactance.
(iii)
The following single line diagram indicates that there has no transformer at load
point to step down the voltage level, hence, therefore, the system as differs from
the radial system. If load 1 fails, then load 2 can maintain the entire load which was
connected both load1 and load2.
