Leadership is considered to be the potential of a person to guide and lead other people, a
group or an entire organisation. Scholars have stated that leadership has a huge role to play in
enhancing the organizational behavior and organizational performance (Hurduzeu, 2015). This
paper will focus on my individual assessment results that showcase the characteristics of
leadership that I have and provide how I correlate with the results acquired and the perception of
skill set I have about leadership.
From the individual assessment result, I have come across that my strongest characteristic
of a leader is creative builder. Creative builders are considered to be entrepreneurs and
visionaries. Creative builders are the most driven and happiest in the initial stage which is the
starting process. They have a vision to spot new opportunities in terms of new companies, new
product and spot the niche markets. The second characteristic which I have scored high after
creative builder is truth seeker. Truth seekers are individuals that tend to be level-headed, believe
in fairness, having a good sense of judgment, put emphasis on neutrality. Truth seekers tend to
analyze new policies and rules and they also seek the ultimate truth where they try to understand
the root cause of issues especially during some situation of crisis. From the assessment I also
come across as people mover which states that I have the capability to spot fresh talent and
someone who has nurturing qualities. There are other elements where I have fared moderately
are these three aspects which are ambassadors, where they have the quality to handle various
types of situations, the other one is experienced guide, the other is experienced guide, where the
people here tend to usually be empathetic and try to understand the situation from the perspective
of some other individual and are often labeled as natural therapists. I ranked the least as an
advocate which means individuals who acts like a spokesperson. These types of people are
considered to be more rationale, articulate and logical.

The element of leadership that has been derived from the individual assessment is very
relatable. I consider myself to be a creative builder as I am always on look out for new ways for
development and unique products with distinctive features that will set me apart from everyone.
As a person I highly believe in the concept of equality and fairness. This usually paves way for
good and fair judgment that I believe I have. When any kind of situation arises, I do not judge
the situation by what others are talking about, I generally try to analyze the root problems of the
cause of the situation to manage it affectively as I highly believe in working towards long term
goals. I also believe that I have the quality to spot a person’s potential and talent which they
themselves are often unaware out. I also believe that I can adapt to different types of situations
and handle it with good judgment which benefits the majority however; I have scored moderately
in this element according to the test. I feel that the result of the assessment is almost accurate as I
am like this as a person in my personal life which has reflected in my assessment.
The elements of leadership that have been derived from the individual assessment are very
similar to the role of management however there are significant differences between these two.
Management is considered to have an authoritarian style where as leaders are the ones who
motivate people rather than ordering. Managers usually come up with good ideas but it is the
leader who implements the idea. According to scholars, one of the biggest differences is that
managers usually react to the change and leaders are the ones who make and create change
(Valiga, 2019).
From the above assessment results it can be seen that I possess some elements of
leadership that states that I have the capacity to become an entrepreneur because of the visionary
skills I have, I have the skills to make nurture and help people grow and I also have the skill to
judge fairly and make decisions that are ethical which will help in maintaining equality.
