REFLECTION OF HOW PEOPLE LEARN 3
Detailed descriptions of how students learn, including principles related to development
and acquisition of knowledge.
From topic material, I have learned that there are principles associated with development and
acquisition of understanding and this helps the student to learn. These principles are an
opportunity to learn, action and reflection, connection and challenge, supportive atmosphere, and
motivation and purposes (Štefaniková, & Prokop, 2015).
Strategies to teach collaboration in the classroom environment
I have also increased my experience that there are certain strategies to teach collaboration in a
classroom atmosphere. These strategies are taught the student how to ask questions, plan
activities, which are required deep thinking in complex problem solving, teach through conflicts,
model collaboration for their scholars (Hofverberg, & Maivorsdotter, 2018).
Strategies for encouraging students to monitor their work and engage in self-reflection
I have learned that there are some strategies for motivating scholars to assess their work as well
as, involve them in self-reflection. These strategies are asked for feedback; talk less, as well as,
leading the goal setting, and reflection (Binder, Davis, & Bloom, 2016).

environment.

I have increased my understanding that a learning style is a preference for technique by which, a
student can learn as well as, remember what they learned. These learning styles are auditory,
visual as well as, tactile. By focusing and observation, learning theories could be supportive for
me to reflect on activities that I consider, and whether I need to make improvement or not
(Hofverberg, & Maivorsdotter, 2018).
The importance of a teacher to assist diverse students’ learning
I have learned that teaching diversity prepares the scholar to become global citizens by
demonstrating them to individual belongs to different social groups as well as, cultures (Binder,
Davis, & Bloom, 2016).
