headquartered in Cairo, Egypt. The firm provides users digitized restaurant menus from food
cart to Hotel menus (Elmenus, 2021). This report looks at the functional management and
organizational development responsibilities of the company. This report identified new skills
required by the company in future years along with comprehensive SMART action plan for
developing personal skills in comparison to skills needed by the company. In addition to this,
the contribution of personal development to wider organization is included in this report.

1.1 Vision and strategic objectives of Elmenus:
The vision of a company means a place where they aspires to be in the near future whereas
the strategic objective are the quantifiable goals that a company is willing to achieve in the
future. The strategic objective are more reliable as there are proper strategies made in order to
achieve the objectives of the organisation. In context of Elmenus they started as a food
discovery platform and now they have started even delivering food items , the company's
vision is “to be top food delivering company and expand all over the country”. Elmenus
objectives in elevating Human Resource are discussed below:
Developing communication skills: The organisation aims to develop the
interactive and communications skills of their employees as while delivering they
need to communicate in a very polite manner.
Training of the IT staff: Training the IT staff so that they can maintain their
website and make it more user-friendly. This will help the customers in easily
accessing the food that is available to them.
1.2 Managerial and leadership competencies required to deliver the strategic
ambition over the period of the plan.
Achieving the required objectives requires efforts from every person in the organisation
especially the leaders and the managers of the company. Few of managerial and leadership
competencies are discussed below:
Clarity on responsibility: Every employee should know what is their responsibility in the
organization , this helps in the smooth functioning in the organisation (Williams and et. al.,
2017). If everyone is clear about their roles and responsibilities in the organization then the
required objectives are much easier to accomplish.
Effective Delegation- There should be some delegation of authority and responsibility so that
the leader won't be much burdened and the work will be done smoothly. The delegation
should not be much , it should only be done according to the skills of your subordinates.

matter of self pride. Leader should listen and consider every employee's opinion so that they

Elmenus. The positive results of leadership development plan is that it has united the
workforce and improved various skills for the future development and leadership
improvement of the company. Development of collaboration skills have helped create unified
workforce while also improving employee engagement at Elmenus. Apart from this the
development of analytical, skills have played an important role in solving various problems
which occurred during training IT staff. The negative outcome delivered because of the
leadership development plan is that the usage of participative leadership have delayed
decision making process. It is determined that the leadership development plan has made
greater contribution to attainment of strategic ambitions than originally envisaged. This is
