Introduction
This report will discuss regarding the background of the entire case study. This report is
also concerned with the identification of the system archetypes that will be benefitting in
identifying the issues that are present. A discussion regarding the existing value stream map is
provided in this report as well. This report also provides an understanding of the structure that is
needed to be taken care for bettering of the efficiency of the treatment process, so that the time
that is required for completion of the treatment time to its half.
Background
Value stream map is used for bettering of the understanding process of the functional
process of the treatment procedure that is followed. There has been an arising of issue regarding
the time that is taken for the completion of the treatment process. This has been the major reason
that the patients are complaining. The higher authorities of the hospitals are considering to
review the value stream map, in an order that the time that is taken for completion of the
treatment process gets half of the time that is required. Implementation of system archetype tools
have been the process for reaching to the solution. After identifying the issues that are present in
the processing of the current value stream map evaluation is to be made and changes are to be
incorporated.

Business analysis archetype
System archetypes are considered as the pattern that is derived as per the behavior of the
system. The aspect that plays an important role in the system archetype includes circles of
casualty and hence the structure that is put into use are similar in nature. Proper identifying of the

system archetype and finding of the leverage facilitates the leverage process (Hoffmann et al,
2018). This is considered as the major prospect that will benefit in efficiently changing the
system. The system archetypes that will be considered in this case is Limit to growth, shifting of
burden, eroding of goals, tragedy of commons and escalation (Lewin, Voigtländer & Fay 2017).
Out of these system archetypes, limit to growth, eroding of goal and tragedy of commons will be
used for detecting the issue that is present in the existing values stream map. Escalation and
shifting of burden system archetypes will be used for mitigating the issue that is present in the
system.
Limit to growth is concerned with a particular method that is to be followed. As per the
archetype of limit to growth the main issue that is present includes the aspect that proper
administration of the terminology. This continuously application of the desired state. The
solution can be made as per the basic reinforcement of the loop that will be performed as per the
intended growth result. This influences the functioning process of the action. This creates
slowing of the action. This is one of the major reason that better understanding of the stock and
flow version will be made. This casual structure will ensure that specific system setting is not
performed in a proper manner. As per the stated case study the main issue that is stated includes
the fact that a set of guidelines are included. This is one of the prime concern that will ensure that
proper administration of the data segmentation is performed. This ensures that the issue that is
present in following the guidelines that are stated in the hospital, delay in the treatment is
created. This has been the major issue that impedes the performance of the entire system. This
includes the fact that proper understanding of the data administration will be performed as per
the processing of the rules and guidelines that are to be followed. Hence delay is created. As per
the limit to the growth aspect the main aspect that is contemporary comprises the fact that the

resources that are present in the system analysis the treatment process gets delayed. This delay in
the processing of the treatment in the emergency department, this ensures the aspect that the
delay in the treatment process is identified.
Eroding of goals are also one of the prime concern that is taken into consideration
includes that commencing of the treatment process in the emergency treatment processing. As
per the commencement of the goals that are set the main issue that is brought in includes the fact
that the data regarding the commencing of the goals get diverged from the goal that was initially
set. This is one of the main reason that the goal that is set initially gets deformed, leading to the
failure in the project that is being undertaken (Roshani & Mobin 2016). In this case, it can be
stated that the goal of the emergency department is to treat the patients in an urgent basis. This
treating if the patients in urgent basis includes the fact that proper understanding of the business
administration can be made with higher integrity. Due to the limit to growth the goal that is set
gets eroded and hence the goal that is set gets eroded. This has been one of the main aspect that
deals with the processing of the goal deviation.
Tragedy of commons has been one of the prime concern that processes the functioning of
the resources has been performed as per the commencing of the data management. This has been
performing the commencement of the limited resource issues. The resources that are present in
the system fails to meet the dealing and hence the efficiency of the resources that are present
starts degrading (Romero & Arce 2017). This degrading of the efficiency leads to decreases in
the output accuracy and magnitude of the output that is received. In this case of the emergency
treatment process, the nurses are overburdened and this is the main reason that the efficiency of
the entire process decreases.

Analysis of the Current State Value Stream Map based on System Archetypes
The evaluation is done from the current map of the healthcare emergency department as
per the various system archetypes. The information is seen to highlighting the data for patients
with numerous records of the healthcare. This has also involved the data of the attendance of
nurses with attending the physical and insurances companies. Apart from this, the relationship
that has been occurring between various treatments has been present denoting the insurance
companies and hospital records.
Apart from this, the data about the presence of nurses has been delivered by visiting the
doctors. Apart from this, various material flow is found out from this map. Next, various
elements of the channels has been including the patient registration and then accessing the
waiting areas. They has been considering the ER rooms. It has also involved the sick people
whose health are analyzed by the physicians and nurses (Salmon et al., 2017). On the other hand,
there are departing of numerous instructions found. Ultimately the patients are able to reach
home with proper through this attempt. Further, they have involved the treatment of data for the
records of hospital. In this manner the nurse has begun the supply of medicines for attending the
physical data. This happens as the patient turns ready for getting the treatments. Further, the
nurse has been found to evaluating the patients having important statistics. This can be retrieved
from the patient’s history. In this way the patents has been able to make the registration of the
patients with the type of investigation.
Next, it is fetched from the analysis that the system is helpful for evaluating to go for and
deploy the tools of system modeling. Thus the integration, prioritizing and development of the
business process of present healthcare can be done effectively through this. Again, this is also
useful to amalgamate various outcomes. This can be both technological and non-technological.

In this way the analysis is helpful to optimize and integrate the overall tasks. Then, it is also seen
that the systematic view is the method for positioning and looking for systematic and organizing
problems. In this way the individuals can investigate the system boundaries that are essential to
set. This is also helpful to set the elements within the systems and parts. This is witnessed to be
the external scenario. Nonetheless, the environment has been affecting the scopes to resolve the
different issues. In this way one is able to impact the capabilities for mitigate the issues (Norman
& Stappers, 2015). Furthermore, the outcomes has been highly reliable on the ways the current
system is defined. Thus, it has been turning to be an important part of the overall system. In this
way the outcomes has been relying greatly on how the system is defined. It has been happening
between different elements that are needed for the intended outcomes and the outside scenario.
Lastly, it can be said that under the systematic view, the focus has been to spread various
directions as compared with the traditional way of linear of thinking.
Recommendation of the new State Value Stream Map
With the help of the implementation of the escalation archetype the entire issue that is
present can be well understood and hence the steps will be taken against it. With the help of the
shifting of burden, the main aspect that will be taken into consideration includes the fact that the
burden will be removed over the nurses and cloud will be implemented.
The value stream map that is designed includes the fact that inclusion of cloud computing
will be implemented. With the help of the cloud system, storage of data will be performed. This
incurs the fact that proper administration of the data that are stored in the data sets of the cloud
system will get better and hence this is the major reason that all the entities that are present will
get access to the data that are provided by the patient. This has been one of the main aspect that
better processing of the understanding of the data set has been stored in data set will reach the

entities and hence overlapping of phases will be performed and hence treatment can be
performed in a faster rate.

The patient visits the hospital and registers himself, after registering the data the data is
stored in the cloud. After the data gets stored the data is accessed by the nurse whom will be
attending the patient. The physical attendant and the doctors at the same time gains access to the
data that are stored in the cloud. After reaching the ER room the nurse examines the patient and
then the doctor does the same. In this process the phase overlapping has been done and hence the
time that is required in completion of the treatment process decreases. The insurance company in
other hand, the main aspect gets the data that are stored in the hospital data record and hence
compares the same with the data that are provided via cloud and hence the financial process
begins and gets completed.

Consequences of the new State Value Stream Map
The positive aspect that is present includes the fact that proper data circulation can be
performed.
Security will be one of the main concern in this process.
Conclusion
System thinking tools are considered as a prime concern that provides better
understanding of the data processing system. This processing of the implementation of the
system thinking system archetypes are one of the prime concern that provides proper solution to
the issues that will be detected. This detection of the provisioning of the issue helps in better
understanding of the section where the issue lies. Value stream map is a functional process that is
used for better planning of the working process. In this case an existing value stream map is to be
evaluated. This evaluation of existing value stream map will ensure that the functioning process
gets performed in a manner that provides better understanding of the changes that are to be
made. This enhances the fact that betterment of the functioning process will be made and this is
the main reason that a new value stream map will be designed that will be providing higher
efficiency in the functional process. With the help of the functional process that will be stated in
the value stream map it is expected that the efficiency that was lacking in the process is regained.

Recommendations that can be stated are as follows:
 Usage of the shifting of burden and escalation archetype
 Usage of cloud system.
