The policy that have been taken into account is, “Emergency procedures, Fire safety or Security.
“The study regarding the policy have been studied from

The role in this particular job position is managing the emergency and the disaster situation as a
disaster management officer.Establishment of the committee and appointing roles to each and

management group is to plan the arrangements to be made for disasters and emergencies in
acceptance with the district disaster management plans.

The problem of handling regular emergencies. It was seen in the health care centre where I work
that the day to day emergency cases were not handled timely. It was of great worry to me as the
disaster management officer as, when a grave situation comes of any large-scale emergency
hazards then the health centre will face problems. In case of large-scale emergencies, the local
government of the particular district is responsible for management along with the healthcare
organizations under Sec 4A of the Act. Of Disaster Response. Breach of such Act would result in
compensation, and to greater extent even punishment of imprisonment.

To circulate and distribute the hand hygiene brochure one must first upload it in the hospital
website. This way all the patients and the caregivers will know about the brochure introduced by
the disaster management unit of the organization. Other ways consist of distribution of the
brochure, to the patients and also to their family members and the hospital caregivers. To imply
punishments on breach of the measures taken and to any complaints.
The brochures must be designed keeping in mind the diverse patient population and their
culture. Secondly, the brochures should be with compliance to the policies lead by the local

3.1
The health care administration does offer the relevant information and the industry related
awards that can be obtained with good performance. The information can be obtained from the
relevant sites offering courses in risk and disaster management. Further, information can be also
be taken from the government health service directives and the healthcare information centres

One of the most important roles that are prominent in the position description (PD) is to develop
new policies and procedures. It is very much important that the policies and the procedures that
are proposed by the risk management officer should comply with the rules and regulations that
have been enlisted with the government health policies of the particular region. The legal laws
and policies should be taken into account and has to be approved by the state risk management

It is very important that the other professionals in the health care organization should actively

The personal skill needed for this role would be that the risk management officer should be fully
trained and knowledgeable about all the rules pertaining to the legal policies of the state health
department. Secondly, the future roles and goals should be kept in mind keeping the changes that
develops simultaneously in the health care giving sector. For tis regular intervals of trainings of
the health carer professionals are much needed.
