Abstract / Executive Summary
This project report is on the recruitment and selection process of the Emirate Airlines for the
cadets. The whole report aims to analyse the whole recruitment process including all the
medical and aptitude tests that are there in the selection process of the cadets, in order to
evaluate the effectiveness of the process. Necessary literature related to the human
resources and their selection process have been done have been reviewed in order to gain
information on the past research done on similar topics.
Online surveys have been utilised for doing research and to gather necessary data for the
research. Questionnaire was designed to analyse the effectiveness of the recruitment
process of the cadets regarding the time, instructions given during the process and speed of
reply form EK and sample size for the study was 30. Six point rating scale have been utilised
in the questionnaire. All the respondents who have participated in the survey are cadets in
the Emirate Airline.
Recommendations have been given to the organisation based on the research findings. It
have been founded that cadets who are recruited for the training program in the organization,
they are quite content with the recruitment process. It can also be concluded form the
analysis that, recruitment process of the cadets in the Emirates Airlines is quite lengthy.
Emirate Airlines need to improve and reduce unnecessary steps in the recruitment process
so that the process can become more effective and efficient.

1. Introduction
In the globalised world, retaining the talented employees is challenge for most of the global
organisations. Top level management and other senior employees have to deal with the
issue of retention of employees, and retaining the talented employees is serious issue
concerning the managers, in the dynamic and increasing employee turnover. This section
represents why there is need to conduct a study for the evaluation of effectiveness of the
recruitment process of the Emirates Airlines. Objectives for the study have also been
discussed in this section of the project.
1.1 Background to the Project
The project will study the recruitment and selection process for cadets in the Emirate Airlines.
All the aspects of the organisation have impact on the job satisfaction and employee morale
and motivation. Thus it is necessary to study the aspects which can affect the overall job
satisfaction of the employees in the organisation.
The Emirates Airlines is mindful of the changes in demographics as structure of population
by numbers, areas, luxuriousness and age which may have a significant bearing over the
interest in specific or general administrations. The team is ought to be aware of culture of the
culture organisation which is needed to be provide in order to create workforce that will
contributes towards the organisational effectiveness.
1.2 Project Objectives
Examine current recruitment process for cadet pilot.
Compare with a model of best practice.
Seek opinion of currently recruited cadet pilot on process of recruitment by conducting
survey.

Finally, make recommendations to improve the process of recruitment.
1.3 Overview of This Report
This report on the recruitment and selection process of the Emirates Airlines consists of
executive summary giving a brief overview of what have been done in the whole project.
After this the report have introduction section giving an overview of the background of the
project and mentioning the objectives of the project. After this data collection have been done
by utilising the survey method, following which analysis and interpretation have been done
for the data gathered through the survey. In the end recommendations have been made by
which company can improve the recruitment process.
2. Methodology
2.1 Research Methodology
The quantitative technique to collect the data is used for generating outcomes which
are easy to summarize, compare and generalize data collection is done by using
primary and secondary methods.
2.2 Secondary Research.
A lot of information is collected by making use of online journals, articles, research
papers, dissertations, research reports, newspaper articles, journals, and books.
2.3 Primary Research
Questionnaires were developed online for the research survey for customers and
business and sent via mail to respected participant.
2.4 Primary Research Data Collection Plan
Online questionnaires were designed for the research to obtain the data from
selected sample that was developed by making use of service of google Form. New

forms were put to use for data collection and the identity of the respondent were
protected. The links which were developed were uploaded on social sites and were
sent to contacts through messengers.30 respondents were chosen for this study.
3. Analysis
In this chapter, analysis and interpretation of the data collected through the questionnaire will
be done. The objective of the research was to examine the efficiency and effectiveness of
the recruitment process regarding the cadet pilots in the Emirates Airlines. 30 cadets of the
Emirate Airlines were the participants in the survey. They were required to fill the
questionnaire and given rating on a 6 point scale ranging from 6 (Very effective) to 1 (Very
poor). Questionnaire was designed to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the
recruitment process of the cadets in terms of duration of time, clear instructions, speedy reply
and other thing that are quite good in the air lines.
Recruitment process of the cadets in the Emirates Airlines was analyzed on the basis
processes that are present in the airlines and tried to gather information by survey method,
what does the cadets have to say about the process of the Airlines such as numerical tests,
medical tests, psychometric tests and interview. Data analysis have been done with the help
of Bar Graphs and Pie charts, which represents the effectiveness of the recruitment process
of the Emirate Airlines.

It is clear from the above graph that, most of the cadets are satisfied by the briefing
instructions provides during the recruitment process, completion time of online application is
not very fast, same is the response for speed of reply.

Briefing instructions given at the time of the test are also clear, but the cadets have given
